The same can be said of the Government. They have to raise money. This Government was fairly and democratically elected.

I think the main problem was that, unlike for e.g. a landlord owning an apartment building, the Royals don't pay taxes (property and income) after what they rake in. The fact that the Royals re-distribute a good chunk of their revenue back in the community and the country is lost on the writer.
How can you be sure that not Harry planted the seeds here. This particular paper is quite Sussex friendly.

Hmmmmm…… I think I remember a bit of push back when it was revealed how much various millionaires and billionaires have been buying up in Hawaii. How much property has been purchased by overseas corporations for huge factory farms? It is not surprising that they are ding this to make money. The Dutchies have been around for centuries and were established to generate income for various people as you have said. They also centuries ago were responsible for the people who lived and worked within the various properties just as they generate income today. Just replace Dutchie with a corporation such as SpaceX, Meta, Apple or Microsoft and do you treat them the same? They are in business to make money and you can't just single them out for taking more money because they are successful companies.

The NHS has a ÂŖ3 billion property portfolio, but no garage to house their ambulances? Where were they kept before this agreement was signed, and how much did that cost? Perhaps the Duchies should take over the management of the NHS and show them how to properly run a business?
