Common Sense Soapbox 
After Hurricane Helene, we heard a bunch of people say that “there are no libertarians in flood zones”, as if the only people who could possibly help anyone after a natural disaster work for the government.
But… That’s nonsense! Not only has the Federal government essentially botched rescue operations in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida, just like in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, it was private individuals who arguably did the most good.

Governments shouldn't be handling disaster relief because disaster relief is far too important of a problem to trust governments with.
Government is inherently incompetent and shouldn't even be trusted with tying people's shoes, let alone saving them from disasters.

I remember after Harvey hit Texas. The government told us civilians who were out doing rescues to report to a mall that they were occupying to be assigned missions. This was after we were forced out of areas we were working due to the military being in that area. We showed up, gave info, and just sat there…. All day doing nothing. We said F it and went out and started working again on our own getting things done.
But we have money to send to new york synagogues
The only way they can make themselves look helpful is by making you unable to help yourself
Don't forget, the Government hasn't even fixed what happened after Katrina, and that was 20 years ago…..

To be fair. The government used the Storm to attack North Carolina. It was never about helping, but stealing land on a lithium mine.
This is why Saemus is one of the few Libertarians I respect. He actually understands the moral and social responsibility necessary to maintain such a society where most lolberts just want to smoke weed all day.
Can we ALL request Trump to place Elon or someone similar to him around gov spending. This person would advise the president and the American Citizens about government spending and areas we should be cutting to get our Federal Budget under control so we are NOT dependent on foreign governments😊
This is even more egregious as there were reports of families not being eligible for the paltry $750 they were promised and afterwards there were reports of Child Services threatening to take their kids because they were now homeless.
What really brought my piss to a boil is when the government started arresting charity workers and people who are providing aid.

Let's see every asshole Conservative, Libertarian, and nd Republican have blocked any funding for FEMA when they are in control of the Oval Office and Congress. Not too mention that every FEMA Director appointment by Conservatives were caught stealing from the funds for the relief aid or giving it to Foreign Governments by round about illegal ways without Congressional oversight or accountability.
The fact that the Speak of the House Mike Johnson blocked all aid to everyone because Trump told him to do so rather than actually bothering with being a decent person. So again it's just more Alt Reich Media propaganda than actually bothering to tell the truth.
As for the fact that most people including Libertarian don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves until they are effected by the problem rather than actually being so called Christians who take care of their neighbors and community. Every single Conservatives Christian is just a NatC (Nationalist Christian) with zero follow through with the word of Jesus Christ and following the Gospel of Prosperity..

Disaster relief is ABSOLUTELY part of Big Government (TM). 100% immoral and unconstitutional because it isn’t funded voluntarily.

I actually do think government should not be involved in "disaster relief". It's just another excuse to grow the bureaucracy and waste money. Charities, private institution and just good willed people in general tend to do a FAR better job than the government and more often then not, they just stop those who want to help from being able to do so.

Same shit happened in Russia there was single village that builded a protective wall around the village and they were the only ones left with untouched by flood and they were fined 10 000$

Same way after katrina. People in new orleans sat around wait on the government to come save them. Meanwhile in ms we helped each other.

I met some west coast people who were of the belief it was the governement and fema that would immediately come to our rescue for hurricanes.
When we got to talking about the specifics of it, they had no idea that it's ourselves and our neighbors that cut ourselves out and clear the roads and drives of the snapped and uprooted trees and get boats to run help our neighbors. FEMA takes awhile to show their face.

If people are coming to actual help, they need to bring their own provisions and hopefully, provisions for people they're trying to help. Sadly, there exist people who "go down to help" with no provisions, and become needy themselves, adding to the problem. Not to mention looters. But Good on Those who are equipped to help.
