  1. 00:00:00 La Paz, Bolivia the highest capital in the world. Surrounded by 5,000 meter peaks, the city has always fought against nature to develop. Living at such an altitude is a permanent challenge to the human body.

00:50:28 Yakutsk, Russia the coldest city on the planet. In this place known as "the cold pole", the biggest challenge relates to the nature of the soil: the
"permafrost". With the warming of the climate, this frozen soil is melting and the buildings are threatened with collapse.

01:36:49 Bangkok, Thailand the drowning city. With deadly typhoons, increasing rainfall, the rising of the sea level and a land subsiding at 4 cm per year, water has become the biggest threat to the city's survival.

02:27:52 Hammerfest, Norway a city in the dark. In the northernmost city in the world, the sun disappears for 2 months every winter. This perpetual night causes extreme effects on people, known as "polar stress syndrome".

  2. I watched all of them. I keep checking if FD will post more of these. It is very interesting to see how humans can adapt to very extremes and how life looks like in those places.

  3. 13:06 wait people travel all the way from India to work in equally rural and disenfranchised Bolivia but you don't expand on that?? Or show footage of any Indians? I get that india is a huge country where people can look incredibly different from South vs Northern states but i still didn't see any 🤔
