A lot of the landslides " not all" are caused by the same countrymen of Jamaica. They build homes anywhere, cut down trees that have been rooted for hundreds of years, and many could care less about the environment. The government should regulate these things or else Jamaica will become like Haiti, flood-proned. Deforestation in Jamaica is huge problem.
