  1. Let’s all keep praying for an early election that leads to a fiscally conservative government that unburdens Canadians, invests efforts towards increasing GDP per capita/wages, reduce crime and corruption.

  2. Would like to be a fly on the wall when Trump tells Trudeau to increase oil and natural gas exports. The chances of Trudeau reducing production with emissions caps is between slim and zero. If not already, will Premier Smith and Trump discuss re permitting the XL pipeline in the USA, with the Canadian section already built to the US border? This will make a mockery of Trudeau, Guilbeault, Wilkinson and LPC energy policies.

  3. This friggin government is killing me. Build more homes, but let in a million immigrants, build a pipeline but limit its capacity and run a massive deficit but deliver little from it.

  4. A cap means less oil shipped. 50% of US imports come from us. Biden has practically emptied the Strategic oil reserve and with a potential War with China on the horizon Trump will expect us to be a reliable partner to help fill up it back up. Do you think Trump will put up with a drop in production of a strategic resource to the US?

  5. De-carbonation policies should always target the demand side, and not the supply side of fossil fuels. The reason is simple: fossil fuels are non-renewable, and even if consumption declines, we will always have to develop new resources in order to replace depleted resources, and the newer resources will generally tend to be more difficult and require more energy to exploit than historic, but now depleted, old resources.

  6. Bs 2 reasons 1 they are setting the cap is because they new if trump won it was going to cost them money because of their past idiocy. Secondly we weren't meeting our numbers and we arnt going to because people like justin single handedly put the avg up 20%

  7. So how are the elitist, ultra-left, woke Liberals planning on how to pay down the $1.25 trillion debt they have racked up and come up with $80 billion to re-equip the Canadian military?

  8. I have never seen a country go so far to sacrifice its own strength in an attempt to 'save' the world, especially since it cannot do so without the cooperation of others, such as India, China, and more. Furthermore, being skilled in empty talk should not be the only qualification for achieving high-ranking positions; intelligence should matter as well.

  9. It is Papastavrou's that this government is still allowed to make any decisions anymore, Time and time again they have proven to us they are just trying to destroy our country, If it wasn't for sing we would be over this crap already, I guess sing has no love for this country go figure or anyone that lives here, THIS KIND OF STUFF JUST PROVES HE IS HERE FOR JUST ONE THING HIS PENSION SHAME ON YOU SING.

  10. The foolish govt supporters follow the lie that we live on planet canada. That if we make a reduction then the world, of canada, is less polluting. Yet facts are if we reduce by, any amount, 10%, will mean another country will increase 10% guaranteeing no change to overall world emissions. Like it or not that's the facts. Smarten up

  11. How can a Government be so obsessed with showing off and following the bandwagon without considering the effects on the population?

Canada is sitting on a goldmine but the people are getting poorer by the day

  12. Call me paranoid, but I think this is the typical Laurentian disdain for Western Canada and it's reflexive desire to suppress the west's development, in the cloak of environmental action

  13. Who cares? In a little over a year Trudeau and his anti oil team will be gone so why not focus on telling us how Pierre is going to fix it instead of ruminating over something that is so short term?

  14. This is a great Idea. With Trump in the white house and in control of the SC, Senate and HoR then he is almost certain to drive the price of oil down to below $40 a barrel. With no sales taxes to reduce that is the only way he can reduce the price of gasoline as was one of his main campaign promises. This will take much of the oil in Canada offline. There is already one casualty and that is the Bay du Nord project on the Grand Banks. It is certainly dead in the water for good as the price of oil is right now below what is profitable for that project. With China light years ahead on EV's, Hybrids, Solar, Wind and Nuclear power they are on the cusp of a transformation not seen in the energy sector in decades. This coupled with a reduction in their population will almost certainly bring new oil and gas developments to a halt.

  15. There is also the little matter of Russia. Trump wants to hand Ukraine over to Russia on a silver platter and "negotiate" a "peace." When that event occurs (possibly as early as January) then Russia will also be looking to have the sanctions now in place lifted. When they are lifted Putin will be flooding the worlds markets with oil and gas and also supplying China and India with grain, beef and other agricultural products driving down those commodities to a low not seen in decades.
Canada but mostly Alberta is in for a rough ride alright but it isn't anyone's doing but the voters in the USA who put a clown in office to ruin the world.

  16. It's an economic suicide pact sponsored by the eco-woke WEF-aligned marxo-fascist authoritarian Liberal-NDP party. Just like our system is being gamed by the globalist intentionally destabilizing mass illegal unvetted immigration far-left-Islamic alliance of convenience. It's as if these anti-Western civilization, anti-free speech, anti-free-market zealots are intentionally trying to ruin Canada and Western civilization.

  17. Once again the Liberals have their fingers on the pulse of Canadians…dead ones that passed away starving from the Carbon Tax slush fund. I am sure we will be happy paying the US and Emirates more for their oil. Liberals out NOW!!!
