A properly maintained gasoline car can last indefinitely. Many of them do, they're called classic cars. It's always more eco friendly to maintain rather than replace.

Oh to be a republic and there are some Aussies who want to become a republic – they should be locked away and given some strong medication to shut them up!!

As far as I understand it Hollywood is a very strange place as you have to be very careful not to upset the so called elite. To prevent
being ostracised lessor folk have to repeat what the "stars" spout" whether they believe it or not. Mind you I am saddened that normal
people who in every day life have to think and make their own decisions even listen to people who for most of their time only repeat words
that the scriptwriters have given them. Actors just aren't used to having to think like normal people.

Most celebrities are actors anyway – and are paid to say and behave in a manner that someone else has written. If your behaviour is influenced by these people you need a long hard look in the mirror….
These EVs are not worth the tax benefits that EV buyer gets! I also bet they don't penalize any of these EV makers when their cars are disposed of because no one can afford to replace the battery packs after the battery wears out. This is just like the appliance makers, who have decided that we consumers must buy a new appliance because they refuse to make parts for them after 5 years. Now if they really want to do something to save the planet, they would start penalizing manufacturers when they build garbage appliances. Our governments are not doing anything about saving the planet, they just want new ways to generate tax dollars for their coffers!
Apart from a limited number of ego fools who want EVs, people are starting to despise all the tech that are in modern vehicles. They DI NOT want to be spied on by the government or corporations and, they di NIT want to pay for it. That and the unreliability of this equipment as well as the monthly/yearly subscription costs that are necessary as the car WILL NOT start without them!
I’ve shunned the new car market because…they are poorly made and HORRIFICALLY expensive!!! I think I’ll just keep what I have.
