  1. Spain recently removed more than 200 dams and weirs in a stupid move of restoring natural rivers flow…. Well natural rivers flow did not suppose existence of spanish cities on its way.
    They reap what they sow.

  2. This happened to the Spanish Armada back in 1588. Well, they were living on those big old ships. Coming to England wasn't an overnight trip. Back then it was like a city floating towards England that was totally trashed by the good old British weather.
    Sorry off topic 😅

  3. Americans, we need help to spread the word about what is really happening in Spain. Omission of the duty to provide relief to create chaos and thus be able to later impose order. The Constitutional Court has just modified a law that allows us to lock ourselves at home in the event of a Red Alert and force those bugs into us. They did not let help into the affected areas when they realized that the people were going to save them. Donated food is being left to rot in warehouses because it is not distributed. There are already cases of infection and there are fear of outbreaks of malaria and cholera. They did not notify the population. The Meteorological Association notified the Government several times, the Hydraulic Confederation of those rivers took out insurance 19 days before to protect itself from the negligence of its employees. A series appeared on NetFl two months earlier with an exact prediction of what had happened: they opened the gates of two dams a few days before the tragedy and did not notify the city councils that the river was coming with more flow. This is no coincidence and is orchestrated by powers above the government. They are experimenting on us to impose a totalitarian government on us. That is why the King warned the citizens during his visit to Paiporta that they were trying to create chaos (the news of the King's visit is also manipulated, the anger was against the politicians who accompanied him)..

  4. So if you live in the Valencia region, the government take 5 days to do something, and what they do do is unorganized and isn't much effort. But if you live in the Barcelona region, you get help the next day…
Says it all about Spanish politics…

  5. Dam shame: what really caused Valencia’s floods?

Who is to blame for the devastating floods that hit Valencia on 29 October? The mob that surrounded King Felipe at the weekend and drove Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez out of town with a hail of mud and stones was angry at the failure to forecast the flood and warn people to get out of its way. The BBC would like us to be angry at man-made climate change for causing the storm – putting out a headline the very next day: ‘Scientists say climate change made Spanish floods worse.’

Yet Valencia had a similarly terrible flood in 1957, in which 81 people died, long before climate change became the go-to excuse for any bad weather. After that flood, to prevent a recurrence, the Spanish government built a string of dams in the hills to hold back water and diverted the Turia river away from the city.

Under a European Union programme to encourage the restoration of rivers to their wild state for the benefit of fish migration, Spain set about dismantling barriers of all kinds. In 2021 it got rid of 108 dams and weirs; in 2022, another 133

Totalling 241 dams removed by Spanish authorities under EU mandatory directives !

What do you think could be the cause for this self harming ?

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot !!
