The AMOC is one of Earthโs most vital systems and it may be collapsing. Ocean scientist, Lisa Beal, has discovered that the Gulf Stream is slowing down, indicating a potential tipping point for the AMOC. In hopes to prevent an AMOC collapse, Maiya May heads to Georgia to meet Stacey Abrahms and learn how an ambitious non-profit hopes to electrify everything. She then travels to take her first flight lesson in an all electric plane. And finally she returns to Florida to learn about the final piece of the puzzle in reaching net-zero carbon emissions: nature.
Weathered is a show hosted by weather expert Maiya May and produced by Balance Media that helps explain the most common natural disasters, what causes them, how theyโre changing, and what we can do to prepare.

Clickbait title for a video that had nothing to do with the AMOC and everything to do with pushing climate change agendas.
Btw, electric everything is fine for the climate until the Sun throws off a huge CME or "Carrington Event" level solar flare. The electric grid will be 'fried' (detroyed), making all these EVs useless, not to mention throwing global 1st world society back to pre-industrial times.
I can't belileve the utter stupidity and short-sightedness this film is presenting us. It's the same stupid narrative that was sold to us since the early 70s. Today still, capitalist blow-hards tell us that growth can go on and on, all we need to do is to suplement one energy source with another, and everything will be peachy. Forget about the destruction of the planet by digging up rare earth and other minerals and metals, forget about the exploitation of the land, the disappearance of natural CO2 sinks like rain forests to put up plantations and big production plants, forget about the polution of water, the 4 billion kettle that produce uncanny amouonts of methan, just look at the super-duper heatpumps that suplement something and everything will be peachy.
What a stupid Bullshit. How dumb can people be to buy into this? If we don't change the economic system and stop overproducing and overconsuming, we won't make it. It's not only about CO2…but then, if people are so shortsighted and stupid to end up in this misery in the first place, who am I preaching to? Just go on pretend everythings fne and technology will save the day so you don't have to change your behavior…I mean, that's how oyu do things today, right? Do not eat less and do sports, use Osempic! Do not try to have a attractive personality, use fake eyelashes and tons of make-up. Do not go to the gym and put in the work, use silicon and protein powder to gain muscles…and for gods sake, do not change your consumer behavior, just suplement one product with the other and everything will be peachy…stupid, stupid, stupid

8:00… Electrifying everything wouldn't splve climate change… We are exiting an ice age and only wat to stop climate change is restarting the iceage cycle which is impossible
How is the electricity made?
I took a different approach when I built my current house. I have gas furnaces, but I also have 2X6 exterior stud walls that are heavily insulated. I was obsessive about stopping any air leaks. I use an efficient air exchange system to let my house "breathe," without wasting energy. I did that because natural gas heating was the most cost effective. Using heat pumps would have easily doubled (or more) my monthly energy expenses. Putting heat pumps in a poorly constructed home is like putting a screen door on a submarine.

No one talks about the geoengineering and what they're spraying in the skies. Nor does anyone talk about the weakening magnetosphere because the poles are going through a flip. With our shields down, more solar and cosmic radiation is getting through heating up the surface of the earth more than ever causing climate chaos. Cow farts and suv's have very little to do with what's happening. This climate change thing is to get us to accept what those at the top of power have in store for us. But guess what? They're all buying beach front homes, while preaching climate change. The poles should finish changing positions in the 2030s sometime, and the weather will return to normal once our shield is back up to 100%. Have a nice day!!!

Secondly… just where do you think all this electricity is going to come from. no break down on how much power comes from petroleum products being burned because it is a huge percentage. The entire state of Hawaii burns diesel to power the state! They are not alone.

Something happened around 1980, maybe it was your 'tipping point.' Barometric pressure began dropping, and has still not recovered, causing a steady reduction in wind speeds, that we are still in. Water and air behave in a very similar way. I believe the slowing of wind and the slowing of water currents is related, or at least a symptom of another problem.

Heat pumps and EVs driven by nuclear and coal plants don't change anything. And as many others here mentioned: to make real change we would have to put our whole civilization on hold.
