The end of Climate Change is quickly approaching with major cuts to NOAA and NWS. When our government cuts federal jobs, how will that improve our lives? The NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and the National Weather Service are our guardians against weather and climate events. They alert us to impending natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes, and they spring into action during oil spills in our oceans! So why is our government slashing jobs at this crucial agency when our planet is under threat? Cutting our budget through actions like this, will not protect future generations who will clearly suffer devastating consequences from these job cuts. Less people to watch over the environment only serves t benefit a certain class of business. I won’t name such industries, but it does rhyme with Foil.
