When hurricane season starts this year and the storms start rapidly intensifying in the Gulf of Mexico (its correct and permanent name), I’m sure all the threatened residents there will be very happy to have fewer people working on forecasts and warnings.
I seriously doubt that people in critical positions got laid off.

It's REDUNDANT and wasteful to have both NOAA and NWS.
Many people believe that the federal government is run by a “Deep State” of unelected bureaucrats who secretly control everything and work against conservative presidents. But in reality, the civil service system was created to stop corruption, making sure government workers are hired based on skills, not political loyalty—so every new president doesn’t just fire everyone and install their own people.
Some also believe that the president has absolute power over the government, but the Constitution gives Congress control over federal agencies and the courts can block illegal actions. If a president could fire all government employees at will, then a Democratic president could do the same thing, replacing everyone with left-wing activists, which would be just as bad. The system isn’t about protecting a “Deep State”, it’s about preventing any president—Republican or Democrat—from turning the government into their personal dictatorship.

I the administration beliefs they do not believe Climate change is real.. they think it’s made up to launder money..that is why they canceled the government rules on climate change.. they do not believe it is real.

As more extreme weather events happen due to climate change- the number of people killed will rise- as well the impact of floods and wind damage. Anti science clowns will reap the rewards.
That was pretty much taken out when analog tv signal was changed because digital blots up & freeze frames & satellite does to when there's a bad storm coming through…. Analog tv , you could always get a clear picture during a storm so nothing to see here lol

This is what the JOB for life with pension will do whenever their JOBS for life with pension is threatened is declare a disaster, making them no different than six January insurrectionists who declared Biden a disaster, whose no job no job destroyed the jobs of 27 million American workers, while the JOB for life with pension'rs said nothing. Have no sympathy.
Have worked at every level of government federal state county city research lab and military. They all farm the operational and maintenance work out to contractors. All digital programming work is offshored to India. So what's left that we need 10,000 administrators who can't even say what they do all day?
Nobody is given a job for life with pension. It has to be earned, meritocracy not DEI, and it can be taken away, as anyone else's job can be taken away. Suck it up that's life. You don't get to have a job for life, even if you have a PhD in intersectional ESG critical race economics.
The official 97% agree NOAA climate change is +1.5 C since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, or 0.01 C per year. That is less than 0.01% of daily average temperature swings from night to day. Hysterics much?
