Peter Dutton has hit out at Anthony Albanese’s “disaster” energy policy with the Opposition Leader calling for Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen to be “sacked”.
Mr Dutton’s comments follow the report power prices for New South Wales households will increase by up to 9 per cent.
“It’s abundantly clear to all Australians now that the government’s renewables-only energy policy is a disaster for families and for small businesses,” Mr Dutton said during a media conference on Thursday.
“We have to have a balanced and sensible energy system.
“I think it is time for Chris Bowen to be sacked and I think the prime minister should accept that Chris Bowen has been a total failure as the Energy Minister in this country.”

income earners, they know 60% are struggling to heat our homes, and others who simply cannot
afford rent… but they are also low income earners, they know an infringement notice is one
third or our incomes, and one tenth of a solicitor's income… The fact is they know how to
solve our housing problem, it's as simple as waving their corrupt hands and release more land,
you know land that we own, and shouldn't have to pay for, why pay for land that they can take
from you at any time or given to those special people that always come before us… and if
