دلدل، ایک ایسی زمین جو سطح تک پانی سے تر ہو مگر اوپر پانی نمودار نہ ہو۔ پرانے دریاؤں کے سیلابی میدان عام طور سے دلدلی ہوتے ہیں۔ کیونکہ بارش کا پانی ان میں جذب ہو جاتا ہے۔ بہہ کرضائع نہیں ہوتا۔ بعض ساحلی میدانوں میں جن کی سطح ہموار ہو۔ دلدلیں ہو جاتی ہیں۔ دلدلی زمین کا پانی کسی طریقے سے خارج کر دیا جائے تو یہ بڑی زرخیز ہوتی ہے۔ گرم مقامات پر دلدلوں کی وجہ سے مچھر پیدا ہو جاتے ہیں۔ اس لیے اس کے قرب و جوارمیں موسمی اور زرد بخار یعنی ملیریا زیادہ پھیلتا ہے۔

Indus water treaty is outdated. Both countries need to sit and rework how to manage floods during monsoon and draught later on
Indian government has implemented a policy to have rain harvesting bore in every house to tackle the water table drop in their cities. With this technique the rainwater on roof is directly fed to ground instead of wasting in streets. Why our government don't take such initiatives and guide people to do that?

If pakistan spent less on defence and more on infrastructure, this problem would not have happened. The pakistani government is willing to sacrifice growth of its people, just for shiny toys for PA.

PM Jawahar Lal Nehru was overly generous in allocating 80% of water to Pakistan in the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 . Maximum water for Pakistan , as a lower riparian nation , should have been less than 50% India should seek a review in her favour of the Indus Water Treaty. River Beas is only a tributary of River Sutlej . Beas does not even enter Pakistan. Chenab i.e. Chandrabhaga is basically a river of Himachal Pradesh. It belongs to HP and has a very small Kashmir connection. Chenab's waters should be diverted to Ravi and other Indian rivers including Yamuna. India got in her share waters of only two rivers compared to 3 rivers for Pakistan.. ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal should be expanded to Chenab -Sutlej – Yamuna Canal .

Believe me, Pakistani people are not to blame nor the Pakistani government for this water crisis. The generals and political dynasties always plan for the future. Pakistani people are extremely talented and educated each year Pakistan's population consistently grows adding more to its number despite this crisis or any crisis that's the true secret of Pakistan's long-term success.
Each year economic growth stays at 1 or -1 percent ensuring a better future for the land of purity which is Pakistan the pak land!
Fresh water crisis is the biggest issue of time for Pakistan.
