I was in high school when the eco-leftists organized the first "Earth Day" back in 1970. Even living in a conservative blue collar area of the midwest, most of the faculty went batshit for this, no doubt heavily influenced by MSM and peer virtue signaling. Go Google failed Earth Day predictions from 1970-quite entertaining. In a nutshell, depending on which environmental and scientific pundit was spouting their "educated" opinion, we had either about 10, certainly no more than 30 years until mankind was doomed to an apocalypse, either from the climate-which in 1970 most assuredly would be expecting another ice age, pollution, or mass starvation from overpopulation.
By the time I figured out Rich wasn't Antony Blinken, it took me a while to lose the visceral disgust I was feeling. I'm thinking a soul patch for Rich?
