  1. I was at my place in Maria del Rey the morning the palisades fire started. I was riding my bike down to Starbucks along the beach and I say a puff of white smoke that looked weird. By the time I left Starbucks you could see 60 foot walls of fire burning. It was shocking how quickly it developed

  2. We as a species are pyromaniacs. Most of our activities require some kind of heat. Whether it's professional, leisure or just to fulfill our basic needs, there is some kind of combustion involved. Even me writing this comment here requires burning some fuel…
    And as demographics and our demands are on the rise, unable to accept that sustainability is the only way, we're heading towards disaster…

  3. So, right-wingers are responsible for the fires, destruction, and loss of life, b/c it's their policies that lead to this. Their attempts to destroy the world we live lead to this.
