Following environmental catastrophe, corporate missteps and plain bad luck, BP lags its peers. Now it’s scrambling to re-embrace fossil fuels while an activist circles. Is it too little, too late?

3:18 market cap is not a great way to compare performance of two companies because we don't know if there were shares issued or repurchased during that time by either companies. Stock returns would be a better metric

I’ve worked on campaigns for BP after the oil spill, it was a smaller company that caused the oil spill but BP stepped up took the blame, paid people and actually saved that little company. SHOUT OUT TO BP!
Because of money.
I still cant believe why these companies cannot look at themselves as energy producers using all possible sources rather than just oil? BP could have been a pioneer in geothermal energy!
Go woke, go broke.
Trump2025 invest in America
Do you know about Pertamina?
If BP refocusses on oil it will eventually fail as oil is replaced by alternative energy sources.
If they were smart they would diversify. But they are lazy.
What’s not to love ?😂. Pollution global warming
If there is no vision there is no company!
British Petroleum fell in love with Oil again? :^)
Save yourself some time….. Money
Great ad for corrupt capitalists
Seems like it took something of a two decade to gain momentum on climate change, which is stalled in just few years by Putin.
The Climate is controlled by the SUN. Forget all that CO2 bull. Its just a tax.
Luigi, Mario, where are you??
Just got an bp ad "a reset"
7:15 wait a second, post invasion BP is still doing 13% of its business in Russia ? How is that legally even possible with all the sanctions in place?
we need electric tanks -_-
Leftists don't know how the economy works, so stop getting advice from them and do your business as usual.
Because oil isn’t going anywhere that’s why BP learned to love it again! The most abundant resource on this planet, it’s used in everything! I’m willing to bet my life, it’s not going anywhere! Well, at least in our generation and the next 10 to 50! But definitely going to be around for the foreseeable future!
Expect more companies to turn away from renewables in green energy! Especially oil companies! At least the radio covered BP and other oil companies like shell. There’s a reason Shell is doing better! Kind of like Ford or any other car company that transitioned from combustion engines to EV’s. They completely did a 180 really quick! Green energy is a bandwagon everyone jumps on! A bubble if you will! This video isactually all right!
I think the show Landman really helped me understand the business model of the oil industry better.

Just a reminder for people that are lost: Companies don't have feelings. They don't suffer. People do.
This is a great video! Thanks and well done Bloomberg Originals!
