Arsa Warns of Water Shortage Due to Climate Change – Aaj News
The Indus River System Authority (Arsa) has highlighted the uncertain water availability in Pakistan due to climate change. A briefing during the Arsa Advisory Committee meeting, chaired by Sahibzada Muhammad Shabbir, revealed a forecasted 43% water shortage in April. From April to June, lower-than-usual rainfall and higher temperatures are expected. Snowfall in the Indus and Jhelum catchment areas has decreased by 31%. The matter will be reviewed again in the first week of May.
