I chat about the recent World Meteorological Organization (WMO) report on extreme weather disruption around the globe. There is an expression in politics called "Flooding the zone with shite" and essentially climate change turbocharged extreme weather is doing that. It is almost impossible to keep up, and people like myself in the West hear about North American and European extreme weather disruption events, but know next to nothing on what is happening in Africa, China, SE Asia, South America and just about everywhere else in the world.

Hopefully this video fills some of these gaps, by going continent to continent.

Some patterns: weather whiplashing is well underway. Many regions are experiencing up to a meter of rainfall in a few short days, leading to huge overland and riverine flooding.

Catastrophic damage to human infrastructure is displacing huge numbers of people, destroying hundreds of thousands of homes at a go, with barely a blink of the eye from the rest of the world.

Obviously, as this worsen, it will take down the weakest countries and then work its way to the very richest countries.

  2. Many thanks Paul the American media channels do not as we know cover this climate craziness..I follow others like the BBC and Al- jeezera foreign media channels that tell us what is going on in other parts of this planet that we deeply care about…The US people mistakenly for the most part believe all the severe weather weirdness only happens here..that's a big Nope..Its everywhere the entire planet and we don't find out about those things I'm afraid by design..Thank you for this video and keeping us informed…👍👍

  3. Good work as usual Mr. Beckwith. Everything we do as a species won't matter if we don't take action. Everything humanity has accomplished could be wiped out in a hundred years from now.

  4. G'day,

I don't understand your assertion that,

"…there's no Coriolus Force at the Equator…"

    Um…

Coriolus Force is the result of the angular velocity of the surface of the Earth, rotating from West to East, diverting the Northward or Southward movement of "Parcels" of Air moving from Barometric High Pressure Zones to areas of Lower Pressure…

Down here at 30 or so degrees South of the Equator, 3/4 of all Thermals breaking off Paddocks are rotating Clockwise as seen from above…; as determined by briefing Hang Glider Pilots before Aerotow Launching them into Thermalling Conditions, and debriefing them afterwards as to how strong the Lift was, and how tightly they could "Core" the Thermals when turning Left to enter versus turning Right.

We discovered that turning Left yielded a headwind, tighter flatter Coring, and higher climb-rates 75% of the time.

There are Storms in Equatorial Regions, but normally not a lot of Wind blows North or South across the Equator ; though the Heat/Pressure Equator
    Migrates from Capricorn to Cancer.

Around the Solstices, the Geographical Equator is 23.5° away from the Heat/Pressure Equator…; so presumably there was sufficient North/South moving Airmass to spin up a few otherwise "Normally overgrown" Mega CumuloNimbus formations
    Until they
    Behaved like
    "Cyclones"…?

    Such is my first-cut
    Guesstimate.

    Such is life,

    Have a good one…

    Stay safe.

    ;-p

    Ciao !

  5. Thank you for the essential information! So many places we never heard of, so many people suffering, and we just – fuel – it to make it worse :'(
    Random thoughts on this:
I read somewhere, airplanes can't take off, if the the air around the runway exceeds a certain temperature, because the air gets too thin to generate sufficient lift. Depending on runway length and airplane size that starts at some 35°C upwards, if I'm not mistaken. I would assume that impacts safe landing too.
Also the photosynthesis of plants ceases above 46°C, because the necessary enzymes disintegrate. How long can we go without food?

(And anyone still not convinced how dire it is and how quickly it worsens, should go ask an insurance or re-insurance company mathematician calculating the risks.)

  6. I'm glad you're now reporting on African weather. I been watching from Namibia since '21. The climate here is arid but its been raining frequently these past 3 months, if I would say its normal again in a very long time in my lifetime. In the northern part of Namibia, the clouds carry the rain from I dont know where – to the Angolan highlands, normally passing by with very little to no rain but these past 3 months every week rains. Yes the lord has been real good to us. Since Antarctica is so close I wonder if its state has an influence on the rain we been getting..Where's the rain coming from?

  7. America has reversed course on action in every single dimension. Even the Supreme Court will not hear novel youth-led climate change case. Evil won. Enjoy our last stable decade on Earth.

  8. It's started, the climate apocalypse when you read all that out, seems it does not make the mainstream media, as they don't seem to think it's important🙄
    Gaz UK.

  9. That was very humbling Paul. Weather extremes are getting larger and natural selection is reducing population. God Bless the unprepared and hope for educating everyone about the future.

  10. I'm ready to die! But I really hope that the entire civilization enters post-apocalyptic era or somehow solve this issue before global warming passes 4.0 C! Otherwise the mechanisms in the oceans which produces oxygen starts to break down and earth will face a serious mass extinction event with zero humans left and possibly all life.
