The Yarsu Area Council in South Epi has established three community disaster and climate change committees. These committees underwent a week-long awareness and training program, facilitated by Vanuatu’s Climate Change Adaptation Program (VCCAP) earlier.
The initiative aims to strengthen community readiness and resilience in the face of climate change and disaster risks, empowering local leaders and residents with the tools needed to manage these challenges effectively.
