A few years ago, I read the book The 6th Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert and also the book X-Events by John L. Casti. They show that it could be very easy to lose everyting in a moment. We're not that powerful or invulnerable to the changes in the environment or the evolution of technology.

Climate Change is very, very real. But what I do not understand if you know that your area is changing and you can't do anything about it. Then why don't you use the weather to your advantage? If more rain or flooding plant crops that can thrive in such weather. Your climate is getting dryer think about drought hardy crops if we can't change the climate we can adapt because we have to.
