Notting Hill Carnival is at risk of a Hillsborough-scale tragedy unless Sir Sadiq Khan reviews concerns about crowd safety, a report has concluded.
The London Assembly’s police and crime committee said that the Metropolitan Police had consistently raised concerns about the possibility of a “mass casualty event”.
Mike Graham discusses the story with former Met Police detective Peter Bleksley.
Peter says: “Somebody name me another event in the country where it’s pretty much guaranteed there will be murder and those events are allowed to continue!”

It's a shame that carnival is being banned it's not what it used to be I agree however let's see them keep the same energy for other events that cause problems probably not gonna happen other events are allowed to happen people are talking about people's houses being bored up you re supposed to board up Houses to make sure that they re safe especially the houses are on the main strip It's a shame because there's a few people that mash up the carnival but it is lovered around the world and it is loved for a lot of the right reasons but as I said I hope they use the same energy and band other events do what they probably But we know what this really is about I'm not going to waste any more energy
Do not send Female police officers into Notting hill carnival as they will be at risk as seen in previous occasions
The fact if you can't control the logistics or crowd control along ethnic lines just shows how woke the councils are. Ideals above common sense of safety for everyone
Notting Hill used to be a slum area until it was cleaned up and gentrified in the 1980’s. Houses there are worth millions now.

I live in a nice suburban area, with very minimal diversity. It is peaceful, low crime levels, except for shoplifting, but that’s all but legal now anyway. So me and my neighbours live in an old style UK. Lovely! We watch the cities fill with immigrants, we see what diversity brings, and all we can do is hope it stays in the cities for as long as possible! This country is doomed. Because eventually diversity is going to spill out into the rest of the country, and god help us!
