  1. If Mulholland hadn't built these concrete flood channels, LA "River" would have been dry river bed most of the year, except during the winter seasons when the heavy rains would have flooded the river plains.
    The only reason why water "runs" down it now is mostly overflows from gardening and waste water. If humans weren't here, it would just be a dry river bed.
    This whole thing is a joke. If they want to "restore" it, that would mean removing the concrete, getting rid of the human population in this area and watch the river turn into a mostly dry river bed with a trickle.
    Sepulveda DAM BASIN isn't LUSH!!!! The water there is being held BY THE DAM, and the rest of the water flowing in the CHANNEL is literally flowing in the CONCRETE DITCH that stretches all the way out to Ventura County.
    Anybody who wants to "restore" it to what it was are INSANE, they are wasting your time and money, as all they would be looking at it a CLEAN CONCRETE DITCH like you see it all the way across the southland in various locations all created to control flooding during winters
