What happened to the ice age? When I was in grade school [70s] the teachers told us "Ice will cover the Earth" It was all over the news.
The real funny part about their scenario for global cooling was that it would be caused by carbon dioxide reflecting the heat of the sun away from the planet's surface. But ozones would open up holes in the atmosphere, causing desert conditions and droughts, leading to reduced worldwide agricultural failures.
