As heavy rains persist the Vaal Dam has reached a concerning capacity. On Saturday, the capacity was at over 120%.The Department of Water and Sanitation has opened 10 sluice gates as water levels continue to rise.

I'm impressed by the African cabinet minister's in-depth knowledge of his ministry. He appears to have a thorough grasp of the details, including forecasting and disaster management plans. Although he has faced challenges in the pastđ,he seems to be excelling in this portfolio
The incompetence of the department is totally unacceptable.
There needs to be a flood attenuation dam built between Vaal and Bloemhof, but this lot hasn't built a new dam in 30 years.

The vaal dam water level should be monitored at 95%. When the water starts to rise above this then sluice gates should be opened. Should the water rise
above this more and more sluice gates must be opened. Reaching a level of 120% is ridiculous and stupid. One is reaching a point where the whole dam could collapse. O MY GOODNESS!!!!!
The government is so useless, they stopped all free water, so no pay no water. There are areas that are connected to the vaal dam that have not had water for months ! And these stupid government đ people have still not put the water pressure up
Why don't you build hydroelectric power at Vaal dam
