What would happen if the Earth swapped places with Venus?
Massive Heat Increase
Temperatures would soar—likely over 400°C (750°F) eventually.
Oceans would boil away into steam, leading to a runaway greenhouse effect.
Earth’s atmosphere could become similar to Venus’s: thick, toxic, and pressurized.
Melting ice caps = massive flooding—temporarily, until the water evaporates.
All satellites and the ISS orbit at distances designed for Earth’s current orbit.
If Earth swapped places with Venus, Earth would move closer to the Sun and experience extreme heat. Oceans would boil, the atmosphere would thicken, and life would quickly become impossible. Venus, now farther from the Sun, might cool slightly over time but would still remain uninhabitable due to its thick, toxic atmosphere and crushing pressure. Both planets would suffer—but Earth would face a rapid and deadly climate disaster.
