
A German court is preparing to deliver a verdict in a landmark climate case that could reshape the legal landscape for greenhouse gas polluters. A farmer from Peru has taken legal action against German energy company RWE, arguing its carbon emissions contributed to the accelerated melting of glaciers near his hometown in the Andes.
