  1. This is upsetting. This is known to be a disaster prone province. This is a result of lack of political will and unchecked Private Capital growth. Giving up critical sectors to the private sector such as security and lack of a progressive tax are cornerstones the governement has ceded.

  2. my sincere condolences to immediate families friends in my thoughts and prayers God be with you all in the Eastern Cape so so sorry to hear this may God heal those who have lost loved ones Amen

  3. Some of the areas on which people have built their houses in Mthatha are looking like areas which used to br lakes many many years ago, about 75% of the house height is under water.๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  4. Let us repent as a nation for turning against GOD'S PEOPLE, …………….

WHOM HE APPOINTED TO STEWARD HIS precious, HOLY LAND.

God says, """"""If MY people who are called by MY name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek MY face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.""""2 Chronicles 7:14

  5. O O O DEAR SOUTH AFRICA When will we as a nation acknowledge that …..

. "Behold, he who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep" PSALM 121:4

This is EXACTLY what we did to ISRAEL in her time of mourning, ….in her pain, …. when she was facing fierce ruthless and brutal enemies on three borders AND FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE and the return of her children from the dark dungeons of hell taken by cruel JIHARDISTS ! (and are still there after 614 days !

  6. I donโ€™t want to use this moment just to gloat about the failures of the government in the Eastern Cape, but hopefully, they now realize the need for better services, bro. Over the past 30 years, the ANC could have built proper evacuation infrastructure and systems to prepare for situations like thisโ€”but instead, they chose to loot. RIP to those who have been lost.๐Ÿ™

  7. I grew up in MTATHA back then UMTATA… Used to be the cleanest town in the country back in the 80's… All that Oscar is crying about are resources that were there before Freedom… I believe that black leaders of today just can't lead…

  8. Jamie, you are so spot on as always๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ I agree a National State of Disaster is overdue indeed! How many more lives needs to be lost including destruction of infrastructure and homes๐Ÿค”

  9. This is unfortunate but very predictable, when i was doing my master's i had a module project which dealt with the risk of flooding and mapping disaster management. The results of the project was a clear projection of increased flooding risks and a pattern of mismanagement bordering on criminal negligence with an incentive for personals in authority abusing aid (monetary) without many checks and balances. It was an eye opener when i saw the data and i can only pray for the affected people past, present and future.

  10. These things are new!!! Even if E.C had an examplary leadership there are certain things that are just too shocking nowadays! I totally agree about the leadership but only now is even the national weather… is saying the province is too vulnerable because of its landscape. Now they are working on that, but the reality is humans can't foresee the magnitude of these things. That's the difference between God and humans. We can blame Anc this,DA that all these are humans and even if they were doing very well in their positions there are too much shockimg drustic changes

  11. Some years ago, East London has floods and people died. Not so long ago PE had floods. What more do they want to see happening before they start taking this seriously. We have an incompetent government in EC

  12. Ei Mona you are always in the lap? Anytime of the day๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ with the same shirt and tie๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I love the signature look though ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฟ

  13. The EC government must be investigated and be under administrative supervision, it's mind boggling on how bad things are over there, so much that people are suicidal cause of poverty, when disaster happens,, it's worse than it should be,, whichever monetary assistance will come it's going to be trimmed 1st before going to the affected,, even God can't save EC from the level of corruption,,may the victims RIP๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

  14. I agree with the Eff. The province must be under administration. Ec has a government that is lazy, corrupt, and ineptitude. It's a recipe for disaster. If Zille would run for premier I would definitely vote for her

  15. Anc won't fix anything but people are voting for it they only enrich themselves voters don't matter ,condolences to family members who lost their loved ones, don't forget we don't have a government, we have a business man (the negotiator)

  16. Unfortunately Disaster Management Services can only be of last resort If the infrastructure In place(which In this case Is not updated nor In existence) Is build to design, especially If we look at Stormwater etc… Corruption has eroded our country and the people In the EC are bearing the brunt of poor governance

  17. EC citizens have themselves to blame for lack of good governance. They were the highest voters of ANC in the last election. You get what you deserve. That aside my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the affected families. Nobody deserves to be in this tragic situation.

  18. I live in Mthatha and this week has been one of the worst disasters I've witnessed in the area.
We're still without electricity and water, we've been told that the water pumps that pump water into out area have all been damaged and cannot be repaired locally and need to be sent to east London. So while we wait for those to be repaired, we have not received water tankers at all, a call to the municipality this morning and the reason is that they don't hwve tankers and there isn't water around the area for them to take from to supply the communities. So we're left to fend for ourselvs and find water.
