
As the first private sector company to establish a Climate Change Research Centre, Dilmah Tea leads the Sri Lankan private sector as the thought leader in addressing climate change, to find smart and innovative solutions to adapt to the growing concerns presented by global warming to our business, livelihood and the environment. Dilmah Conservation, therefore, continued the discussions on Climate Reality, organizing a public lecture titled “Climate Change and Conflicting SDGs”, with Dr. Erandathie Lokupitiya, a senior lecturer at the University of Colombo, Faculty of Science. Highlights from the lecture include the causes, impacts and mitigatory actions to tackle climate change, why Sri Lanka has been ranked no. 2 in Climate Change Risk Index 2017, the relationship between Climate Change and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
