In this episode, I take a look at the technical innovation by JCB in the development of hydrogen-powered mobile construction vehicles at the COP26 Green Zone held as part of the global climate change summit, which will took place from 31 October – 12 November in Glasgow.
I spoke with Bob Womersley – Director of Product Innovation at JCB on how alternative fuels, such as hydrogen, be used to power mobile plant and compete with traditional diesel-powered machines, both now and in our transition to a NetZero future.
In our journey from a carbon-based economy, hydrogen will have a place in making our immediate transition to NetZero and is likely to have a longer-term future. Certainly, it is rewarding to see the developments that JCB have made and continue to make in this direction.
