David Puttnam looks at Climate Change through different lenses, all of which reveal the unsustainable ways in which we are living. Climate Change is real, but throughout history humans have failed to set political and economic concerns aside for our greater good. Will we ignore this latest warning?
Lord David Puttnam produced award-winning films including Chariots of Fire, Bugsy Malone, and The Mission. He now works at the intersection between education, media, and policy. In 2007 he was appointed Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Draft Climate Change Bill.

So if this climate change thing is real and not just another money grab, how come the same threats (polar bears extinct, New York and half of the world underwater etc) have been said since the 80's? How about Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth? No snow on the Alps etc. My friend went skiing there last winter. Think about this The Netherlands is over 50% underwater and by digging canals and building sea walls, there's been no loss of life due to flooding since 1953-4! This dude just talked about nothing.
The WEF, UN, WHO & Governments globally, need to be investigated immediately.
They are spraying our atmosphere with chemicals, planning our future and this will mean, they'll gain full control over humanity.

That was a bunch of rah-rah nonsense. What about practical real solutions, ideas and policies that can be implemented?
There is no climate crisis. It's absolutely ridiculous. I encourage people who have drank the Kool-Aid on the subject to really explore other highly credible scientists in their field who have compelling information to suggest that we are panicked over something that we don't need to be panicked over and in the process is going to hurt an enormous amount of people not from the climate, but from the political actions that will be taken.
Science is not something you trust, it's the very nature of science to be iterated and tested and probed, if you try to probe the subject, you will get hostility back, that is not a scientific environment.
I would bet that just making this comment will have people calling me names, and if you could, you probably tear me the pieces, but you'd be wrong every single step of the way nonetheless.
It's time to put all the experts on a debate stage, highly accomplished scientists who see no concern about climate change and those who do and let them debate based on facts, not on emotion and not on a political basis.

The main point is the earth is not in trouble, humans are. Our species has only lived within a certain sweet spot – if the earth cools more than 3 degrees or warms more than 3 degrees our climate will not be able to support our ability to grow food in the quantities that can sustain our future and our leaders keep thinking that their wallets are more important than our survival !!!
What everyone can do: adopting a plant based lifestyle which will also safe you from most chronic and life threatening diseases. What those who can effort have to do: make your house low energy, buy an electric car solar and home battery. Support companies that bring innovation.
Everyone can do something, even as simple as adopting a plant based lifestyle which is the single most impacting action you can take. No technological revolution can beat it. (in fact cell based meat and precision fermentation will come close)

7:30 What the cigarette companies did is exactly what the United Nation's IPCC has done with global warming. Even though it is impossible for greenhouse gases to cause global warming because earth's greenhouse effect is always in saturation from the strong greenhouse gas water vapor and can't have its overall effect changed, they still insist that greenhouse gas emissions are causing global warming. That even when the observational evidence is the global warming has been paused at about 1°C since 1991. In 1991 global warming was reported at 1.1°C. In 2022 global warming was reported at 1.06°C.
The United Nation's IPCC science report in the back of some 200 pages has a legal data transparency statement that it took it greenhouse gas samples at 20,000 meters altitude. It is high school taught science that earth's greenhouse effect takes place within 20 meters of the greenhouse energy radiating surface, typically the earth. After 20 meters from the radiating surface all the greenhouse radiant energy has been completely absorbed by greenhouse gases. Its further heat transfer is by convection i.e. gas molecules bumping into each other. That 20,000 meter altitude sampling statement means the IPCC report is not dealing with greenhouse gases in a manor consistent with the study of global warming. Even the IPCC knowns greenhouse gases can't cause global warming.

Free markets (capitalism) has lifted a billion humans ot of extreme poverty in the last couple decades. It has been able to do this because human nature is self centered, as is capitalism. If you wantchart a course counter to human nature (solve the climate "crisis"), you will need a very big stick and use it heavily on those who continue being self centered, which is most of us. Roosevelt was able to comment favorably on the generation fighting the war precisely because they were fighting for their own interest, to not live a lower standard of living.

This is the usual climate alarmist propaganda – unscientific and designed to scare people into taxation. There are not more natural disasters than there were in the past, we can mitigate the effects better. Temperature is not rising dramatically, warmer is better, CO2 is plantfood and essential to life as we know it. Going net zero will bring misery, war, famine, death. It will NOT change the climate one bit. Climate will change regardless of what we do, always has. So pluck your heads out of Al Gore's a.. and live life, enjoy it and have children, they have a bright future if we stop the climate zealots.

basic physics tells you that the Man-made CO2 Greenhouse Effect is fatally flawed. CO2 in the atmosphere has no meaningful impact on global temperature.

so why not start with very simple steps that are achievable. Ban on private jet travel, ban on single dwelling homes over 3000 sqft., ban on solar and wind but increase in nuclear . Why you ask ?
so what he is saying is "ill come up with the ideas , someone else needs to implement my ideas " which makes sense , after all he just makes movies . if he could do it all over again , instead of making films and writing books ,, he would do his studies and work for clean energy .. but since he didnt he can only ask others to come up with clean energy solutions .. My biggest issue to the Climate Change scare Is Their solutions require us to give up everything live in poverty and turn all the dicisions over to those that claim to be experts. Sounds like a good excuse force the rest of us into a poverty ridden.tyranny Sorry not going to happen without War
