I'm glad that National Geographic is spending so much time trying to deepen the debate about what to do about climate change. It truly breaks my heart that most people who say climate change doesn't exist are very ignorant to these island populations who are losing everything. I'm so passionate about our environment and taking care of what we have been given in this "window of opportunity" and hope we don't force the window to slam shut. @NationalGeographic
people will get more impact of climate change is on equatorial area. in Bali we supposed to be have 2 season, wet and dry. but last time it come so late after whole year drought then now whole year rain and flooding everywehere. it will change or life and increase hunger. sorry for my bad english.

I have noticed in the last 5 years, that local beaches in California are losing many feet of width every year, regardless of sand dredging.
