The search and rescue operation continues over in northern India, following the collapse of a glacier in the Himalayas that caused massive flooding.
Meanwhile, the cause of the collapse in the mountain is grabbing attention with some pointing at climate change as the main reason. .

Mokyeon, according to the local government, at least 31 bodies have been recovered while some165 remain missing.
Rescuers also freed an additional 35 Indian construction workers trapped in a tunnel.
This comes three days after torrential water from the collapse of the glacier swept away the hydroelectric dam they were building.
Though officials have yet concluded what caused the disaster…scientists investigating the case think bright sunshine along with a rise in temperatures may have triggered the glacier’s breaking an impact of global warming.
It is not common to see avalanches in the Himalayas in winter.
Experts say that extreme weather conditions in the region have become more frequent, while hazardous construction practices have amplified the destruction.
The project the missing workers were working on is one of many such projects.
Experts had warned that constructing dams in the fragile ecosystem was dangerous.
Himalayan glaciers have been melting twice as fast since 2000 as they were in the 25 years before.
Even if the world meets its most ambitious climate change targets, rising temperatures are expected to melt away a third of the Himalayan glaciers by the end of the century.

Way to turn a natural tragedy into green propaganda.
This is pure nonsense. You cannot blame everything that goes wrong in life on carbon dioxide, the gas that creates and fuels all life on Earth. These idiots are just repeating other idiots, who make up long chain of stupidity that goes back to 19th century Europe where the erroneous greenhouse gas theory was fist concocted, but never proven. You cannot trap heat with a free flowing gas. Blame Mother Nature for all the ills of the world. She is in control of climate, not man. Picking on carbon dioxide and methane is insanity. Cow flatulence does not cause hurricanes. SUVs do not cause droughts and flooding. CO2 does not cause heating. The sun causes heating. CO2 just makes plants grow. We need more carbon dioxide in our atmosphere, not less, because we need plants to grow faster, bigger, and more resistant to drought. CO2 is a blessing, not a pollutant. It's like money in the bank. We need more food, more lumber, and more green luxuriant leafy money in the bank.
