Aviation industry leaders have pledged to ensure net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 – weeks ahead of global climate talks in Glasgow.
But the move is being opposed by Chinese airlines, while some analysts aren’t even sure that target can be met.
The impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the biggest crisis in the industry’s history, was also discussed at the International Air Transport Association’s annual meeting, the first to be held in person since 2019.

If electric cars are not that efficient, electric planes has no meaning for now.

Every flight carries a regular sized swimming pool amount of fuel. Empty or full load it's about the same. Spewing bad smelling, sooty crud at high altitudes and yet they blame back yard Barbecue and cow farts on climate change.
