“One is if they really take the action to try and deliver it quickly … it’s going to really hurt us and cost us a lot,” Mr Kenny said.

Solar isn't the problem if its individual choice for homes but industry will not function on it. It's the forced envirocommo's compliance that gets me. I'm at some point putting an extension on my home and because I'm using floor boards I have to #1 pay for a 1 KW solar set up minimum as an "offset" , regardless of what I use it for I could use it to power the chook house if I want or just store it away and not use it but I'm being forced to buy one and #2 I have to install a fan where the outside decking will be under cover, that's right a ceiling fan for the outside. Their argument being that if there's a fan outside people are less likely to stay inside during summer and use airconditioning. The plans will not be accepted by the council if the solar setup and fan isn't included.
