Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that India will achieve the target of net-zero emissions by 2070.
Delivering the National Statement at the inaugural Leader’s summit part of COP26 in Glasgow, Modi said India will increase its non-fossil energy capacity to 500 GW by 2030. It will also fulfill 50 percent of its energy requirements from renewable energy sources by 2030.
“Between, now and 2030, India will reduce it’s total projected carbon emissions by 1 billion tonnes. By 2030, India will reduce the carbon intensity of its economy by 45 percent,” the PM said.

Fuel price increased at record level of 110/ltr in india. So the transportation industry has its on way to decline.
Simultaneously, inflation and economic crisis increased. India got defeated by Pakistan and bangldesh in hunger index. Poverty rate also increased. So life is hard for a common man in present day India.

i get it. India will finally abandon their white masters, and submit to become the 24th province of China. Therefore achieving the impossible by Indian standards.
This is good initiation but to achieve this target he going in unusual and most self harming way, to reduce petrol usage he set tax {central and state} in such a way that for every 100 rs spend on fuel 63% as tax and 37% as actual fuel price. Because of this for 1l petrol indians need to spend ~Rs.110 (~1.46$). And this leads to high price of commodities and people life in miserable.

The Calcutta High Court had banned bursting fire-crackers in Diwali in view of pollution & COVID-19 and BJP supporters were all out in Facebook claiming the High Court is anti-Hindu & hurling abuses at the applicant (a Muslim woman) until the Supreme Court set aside the High Court's decision. And people tend to forget that burning of property during communal riots also generates CO2. In these conditions, it is very unlikely that India will have net zero carbon emmision.
