The advent of inventions like automobiles and airplanes in the early 1900s fueled a transportation revolution and helped fuel one in agriculture. What once was done by hand or by horse was now being done with tractors and machines.
That was followed up in the 1950s and 60s with the “Green Revolution,” where advances in fertilizers and other chemicals help to vastly increase crop yields around the world. These revolutions have reduced hunger and feed a growing population, but they’ve come with a cost: inventions from both eras have helped contribute to climate change.
Thankfully, there are a number of companies working to solve the climate impact of agriculture, including San Francisco-based Living Carbon, which uses biotechnology to develop genetically modified trees that better capture and store carbon while producing superior quality lumber. That’s a win-win solution that could help lead to a greener future.
The Business of Climate Change explores the industries that are most implicated in climate change — and the companies working to fix that. Forbes’ Senior Science Editor discusses the promise of these solutions with industry experts, scientists and entrepreneurs.

How about GMO humans
ᴡᴏᴡ ᴀᴡᴇsᴏᴍᴇ 😍💋💋
The planet is not going anywhere It's a scientific proven fact, that the planet goes through changes and we just so happen to live on this earth where natural changes are Occurring ! We can help by not trashing it! But we can't stop it from it's natural change. But government wants to tax us because they say us humans are changing it?…..this planet will survive with or without us! Remember politicians want to get paid for a natural Occurrence, now that's criminal.
Beyond meat and impossible meat are not environmentally sustainable as they are using soya as their basic raw material , we all know that soya bean plantation is the basis reason for deforestation in Amazon forest. 🙂
…meanwhile there are several active volcanoes spewing huge amounts of dust into the air…please, have a talk with them

Never
Almost 1000s of the earth is being saved and existing till date by the one creation of it's own “natures own non GMO “then how could you say that ONLY THE SO CALLED GMO PLANTS WILL SAVE THIS PLANET..the term GMO is a problem to earth
Maybe one of these smart people will read this and listen seriously: If we cross huge hemp with modern huge bud cannabis plants, we can get enormous plants with huge density per acre. The plants can be grown to seed, the lbs/acre yield will be 3-10x what corn is and these seeds can be turned into ethanol & offset rising gasoline prices. The plants are also edible and can be used for medicine. Its sad that the science is held back by legislation & big oil who caused the problems in the first place. Replace corn with cannabis, no seriously….
GMO can not save anything. They invented this and got approval from congress to be allowed to do it they claimed they can solve hunger. That hasnt happened, what they have done is create crops that dont die from ROUND-UP so they can feed us their cancer causing weed killer.
Is this an ad?
Grow trees. But there is NO climate change. There are only tax schemes by dirty politicians.
