  1. Net zero is impossible, and the ordinary man on the street has other priorities. A noble concept, but get real. It ain’t going to happen while China, Russia and India don’t do their bit.

  2. CO2 is part of the natural life cycle, without it there would be no life on earth. Not only do plants rely on CO2 but many organisms that live in the oceans from micro organisms to shellfish. CO2 is not harmful to the earth.

  3. NO. FFS its idiocy, we want energy, heat, and cheap power to build this nation and be self sufficient, not fucking windmills and solar panels that don't work. Where is this democracy we here about, let us vote on it, I vote fuck it off!

  4. Today the uks demand for electricity was 37gw at one point. Wind was providing around 7. Fair enough solar was producing 4 or 5 too, but that's still 25gw required from other sources. They were even doing the unthinkable and burning coal. I think renewable energy is amazing but security is the highest importance and cost very important too. Giving help to the poorer members of our society doesn't come from a magic money tree. We need to produce energy that's affordable. We're already paying 25% of our electricity bills to subsidise renewables.

  5. Wind power for 80% of electricity generation. The newest turbines installed from 2025 onwards will be cheaper than fossil fuel generated power

Nuclear heat only reactors to heat 90% of homes and busineses at just 3p/KWh

And electric vehicles to cover 90% of transport miles

These three things would save households money. Especially using off peak electricity for cars (around 2p a mile) rather than refined oil at 10p a mile

  6. Wind turbines produced 50,4% of the electricity for the national grid a few saturdays ago, a new national record, and in 8 years time when new offshore projects are completed our wind energy capacity will be 4 times the size it is now. A solar roof installation on each house can reduce yearly electricity bills by at least 25%. All of which makes energy independence more realistic.

  8. Net zero is pointless on a small island like uk when serious pollouters China Russia USA have no intention to reduce their pollution the only things is we were serious about climate change

  9. It's not real to go down the net zero path at the moment. The wokey lefty lot. And the green lot will have their tantrums but I can't help but think they are half brain dead. And they would be the first to start gripping if they lost their home comforts.

  10. going green makes no difference to the world and thats a fact , one volcano erupting puts out 100,s of years worth more than man can ever do so what we going to do cap the volcanoes lol we need it or the earth would be dead. and without co we cant breath dummys.

  11. If green energy is subsidised, by definition it makes it not green. If people have to do extra work to pay for their electricity bill by going to work driving a bus, driving a taxi driving a lorry this creates carbon the idea and the principal is fundamentally flawed. To make money means you make carbon!

  12. the goverment forcing the car owning public to go EV is example being unachievable, purchasing a EV being beyond most , the relative short life span of EVs being around 8 years will make used purchases not even worth considering, can you see africa, the indian sub continent, and china going over to electric ? its not likely, and if everyone goes EV in the UK where will they all be charged?
as a high percentage of homes will be unable to charge at home ,

  13. For every immigrant that enters the country it will cost more to go green we all use energy. I heard our immigrant numbers this year could add up to the size of Coventry,

  14. Absolutely not!! Anyway there’s no such thing as net zero, Big Industry will just reduce their so called Carbon Footprint by purchasing Carbon Credits whilst still doing the damage to the environment, it’s all a big fallacy and con!!

  15. It doesn’t feel rocket science that a middle ground answer is to go fully in nuclear power. Just have the government out of the way in this field and I guarantee we’ll never have energy issues again.

  16. We have a heritage railway industry that generates at least 500 million per annum however due to Johnson’s ban on new coal mines they will all run out of coal by the summer The Hra asked for help guess what greenie Johnson ignored them
