  1. what if we have been using the wrong model of wind turbines?
what about this new model :
a vertical axis wind turbine (spinning like a carousel)
this wind turbine would look exactly like a tree, I call it : e-tree,
the trunk of the e-tree is brown, the spinning sails (blades) are green,
and finally attached to the trunk of the e-tree are features of : wifi/mobile network, light and power outlet, to charge a car for example

  2. Well, the comment you are referencing isn’t wrong. Lots of money to be made “fixing” “climate change”, isn’t there? Not to mention the draconian measures you want to take in making governments FORCE people to comply with your religion of CC

  3. Forget about the temperature and worry about co2 in the atmosphere, the earth is at about 180 tons in the atmosphere, if we get to 150 tons, all plant life on earth dies and we don't have to worry about temperature anymore

  4. Humanity has actually slowed down the decline of co2 that has been happening for over a million years, within the next 100,000 to 200,000 years, the earth will be in an ice age, the arctic ocean still freezes over completely every years

  5. Heat is always temporary, night time is always cooling, winter is always freezing and wild fires melt glaciers. 23.44 degree tilt determines/gaurantees that nothing can change unless we see a Volcano or Forest fire.

  6. ok sorry : what you are saying is when the plants killed the earth's atmosphere so many billion years ago that that was "natural". but today when are plant brains are doing the same thing it's not a natural thing your a very funny man who should have his own talk show with the other saturday night live comedians/actors because lately all we get for public leaders are people that love to be in the public eye just like a plant needs to be nurtured

  7. What effects are found in a regulated climate? Cold air and hot air mixing, is that greenhouse or something else like convection. Cant have cold air and greenhouse at the same time, the answer has to be one or the other idiots. Is it cold air or is it greehouse air idiots.

  8. Science that states the Moons orbit is a spin is the same type of scientific mislabling of terminology we see in other scientific circles, wordsmithing and Vague descriptions in order to achieve grant status.

  9. the first evidence of a climate scammer is when they try to minimize the impact of forest fires on Summer time temperatures, the second piece of evidence is minimizing the impact of volcanos, these terms will identify the difference between the scammers and others.

  10. The condescension is very hard to ignore in this video. Also, the fact that science has undermined itself in the revealed truths after a global pandemic, does not help lend credence to “experts” in any field. Especially when they seemingly ridicule based on some consensus. Do yourself a favor and don’t ridicule, do a better job of proving your case. Otherwise you might be just another Fauci.

  11. Whales in the Egyptian desert are not the ones we see swimming today, amazing stuff, they were massive with useless legs because of their size, much like salamader or crocodile appendage, just divergent traits like dorsal fins that you dont see on the Narwal.

  12. If you are going to make a video trying to dunk on "canned haters" (cmon nobody tweets at PBS like that lol) …. at least provide compelling evidence!!! Problem #1) PBS in the top left corner (Public Broadcasting) – means government funded science. Bad start (See food pyramid) #2) He calls it "extreme heating" at a few points in the video… its MUCH lower rates than Al Gore predicted in 2001 and what we are now seeing very recently is extremely cold temperature changes in areas that we have never seen (see Texas snowstorm URI 2021, Georgia snowstorms of last 10 years and more) #3) Doesn't mention we only have "reliable" weather data for about 60-80 years in total (see NREL) #4) The recent temperature increase in climate change that he speaks of, started happening before we were burning fossil fuels..hence the "greenhouse gas" effect is NOT a valid argument for a large amount of global warming #5) Spends about 2 minutes on the sun and says it got "cooler" in its most recent cycle, but doesn't talk about an increase of radiation bursts and many other solar phenomena that are possibly a major cause #6) Didn't really make a compelling case for Volcanic activity, seeing as how we actually don't really have a good measurement device for it and our data on orficial pressure for geothermal off-gassing is not accurate (He just said we can see it from space and know how much is being off-gassed…hmmm no we don't, not accurately) #7) Doesn't talk about deforestation at all and how foliage consumes co2 and produces o2 (though manmade, its not an excess of Green house gas problem, rather we have ben removing carbon consumers) #8) Didn't talk at ALL about magnetic shifts in earth core/polarity which in my opinion, is the most compelling reason for modern climate change #9) Just said "scientists" already understand how the earth tilt is affected by climate change and its not the problem (like scientists were around for the last 2M years measuring it) ..again, not compelling evidence to support that its not a possible major cause of climate change #10) Didn't spend ANY time on Antartica (cooler than ever) #11) Didn't talk about the fact that we have have 7 other warming periods on earth (that we know of) and has no explanation for those (hint: humans weren't around for those)…. Should i keep going? That will be all for now. I rest my case.

  14. Persistent westerly winds have also dragged the current in one direction for over 20 years, increasing the speed and size of the clockwise current and preventing the fresh water from leaving the Arctic Ocean. This decades-long western wind is unusual for the region, where previously, the winds changed direction every five to seven years.

Scientists have been keeping an eye on the Beaufort Gyre in case the wind changes direction again. If the direction were to change, the wind would reverse the current, pulling it counterclockwise and releasing the water it has accumulated all at once.

“If the Beaufort Gyre were to release the excess fresh water into the Atlantic Ocean, it could potentially slow down its circulation. And that would have hemisphere-wide implications for the climate, especially in Western Europe,” said Tom Armitage, lead author of the study and polar scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

Fresh water released from the Arctic Ocean to the North Atlantic can change the density of surface waters. Normally, water from the Arctic loses heat and moisture to the atmosphere and sinks to the bottom of the ocean, where it drives water from the north Atlantic Ocean down to the tropics like a conveyor belt.

This important current is called the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation and helps regulate the planet’s climate by carrying heat from the tropically-warmed water to northern latitudes like Europe and North America. If slowed enough, it could negatively impact marine life and the communities that depend on it.

“We don’t expect a shutting down of the Gulf Stream, but we do expect impacts. That’s why we’re monitoring the Beaufort Gyre so closely,” said Alek Petty, a co-author on the paper and polar scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

The study also found that, although the Beaufort Gyre is out of balance because of the added energy from the wind, the current expels that excess energy by forming small, circular eddies of water. While the increased turbulence has helped keep the system balanced, it has the potential to lead to further ice melt because it mixes layers of cold, fresh water with relatively warm, salt water below. The melting ice could, in turn, lead to changes in how nutrients and organic material in the ocean are mixed, significantly affecting the food chain and wildlife in the Arctic. The results reveal a delicate balance between wind and ocean as the sea ice pack recedes under climate change.

“What this study is showing is that the loss of sea ice has really important impacts on our climate system that we’re only just discovering,” said Petty.
