Science North is the first Science Centre in Canada to commit to Environment and Climate Change Canada’s ✨Net-Zero Challenge!✨

The Net-Zero Challenge is a voluntary initiative. It encourages businesses across Canada to develop and implement effective plans to transition their facilities and operations to net-zero Greenhouse Gas emissions by 2050. This challenge builds on the momentum of global initiatives while offering a made-in-Canada approach. Science North recognizes that companies operating in Canada have an essential role in helping the country achieve its overall goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. 🌎🇨🇦

Joining this challenge supports the Environmental Sustainability catalyst in Science North’s 2022-2025 Revitalized Strategic Plan and our commitment to being a leader in environmental sustainability. We’re joining a growing coalition of businesses and organizations across Canada pledging to get to net-zero by 2050. That’s not all! We continue to work on exciting and impactful projects across the organization to achieve our committed sustainability goals. 🫶🌱❄️
