Researchers have claimed one of the world’s largest oil companies accurately forecast how burning fossil fuels would warm the planet decades ago.
Scientists claim ExxonMobil – which has made billions from selling fossil fuels – publicly denied the link.
The oil giant denied the allegations, telling the BBC: “Those who talk about how ‘Exxon Knew’ are wrong in their conclusions.”
The study, by Harvard University and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Change, analysed data in ExxonMobil’s internal documents and found predictions made in the 1970s were often more accurate than Nasa scientists.

I don't think it's fair to blame 1 oil company that was actually worried about climate change in the 1970's.
You only need to see how much plastic is in your bin to know we live in a world that just doesn't really care about the environment. Just sell the problem to poorer countries and then blame them for the problems.
People who invest in alcohol companies hope for millions of new alcoholics. People who invest in tobacco and pot hope for millions of new smokers. People who invest in oil hope for cold winters, lots of shipping and large trucks for everyone.
If you are invested in all three, you're hoping for a bunch of smoking, alcoholic, truck driving young adults to fuel your fortune. But how dysfunctional is that society? Money blindness. Corporate executives are more blind than most, and can justify away all sorts of social evils in pursuit of a new car or vacation home.
Climate change has nothing to do with auto exhaust or emissions. There has been a substantial increase in seismic and volcanic activity over the last hundred years. This has increased the temperature of the land, sea, and air. The weather is most likely changing back to what it was 2,000 years ago. When the Romans were in Britain (40BC-380AD) they grew citrus fruit in the north. Look up "Roman Warm Period" and "Medieval Warm Period" online. It appears that there is a major change every 1,000 years and that is where we are today. Periodic change in the heat, light, and radiation created by the sun affects the earth both above and below and is the cause of the global warming we are experiencing.
ExxonMobil did not exist in the 1970's. They need to be more precise.
Here we see that corporations prioritize short term profit and greed over even the future survival of mankind. Should they be allowed to exist?

Stop believing the lies, Co2 levels have been much higher than they are today, and the climate was great. Scientists know what is causing the climate to change, it is the sun, and the bible has predicted it over 2000 years ago.
