so water and co2 absorb radiative heat and thus prevent heat leaving but the Suns IR radiation would equally be repelled thus a balanced system, not increasing temperature. Even if theres more CO2 it would equally act on Suns heat.

Are you sure it is 1 degree warmer? In the past co2 increases have lagged warming by hundreds of years. The warming could just be bad measurement, bad adjustments and bad interpolation of data.

There's a glacier the size of Florida melting.
Rising sea levels, where? When ice melts, the water produces weight in different areas. Reducing this weight on the tectonic plates at the poles. Increasing weight in the oceans. So the sea pushes down on the tectonuc plates under them. Pushing up at the poles. Mean sea level stays the same. More CO2 increases plant growth. So far, on a global level, life has increased by 15%. Plants reduce temperatures. There is no such thing as destruction. Only change. Over the last 600 years. The maximum temperature changes have been on average 1°C warmer. And 2°C cooler. The Earth is thought to be 4•5 billion years old. Also, technically, we are still in an ice age because there is still ice present on Earth. 65 million years ago. There was no ice. Life was very abundant. In Canada, the temperature difference between summer and winter averages approximately 60°C. +30°C in summer and -30°C in winter. So this 1°C in 120+ years is rather irrelevant.
Just look at weather and you see our contribution.
WRONG, CO2 HAS NOT gone up by 50%…. It is still at the same 0.004% that it was 50,000 years ago.

I am confused about what he said about the rising sea levels caused by melting the arctic ice. Isn't it really about the antarctic ice and the glaciers on land ? Ice that is already in water doesn't influence water level.

How do you reconcile the current thinking of CO² as the driver of higher temperatures with the past inverse correlations of CO² and temperature?

Fact: Near the surface, CO2 does not re-emit. Collisions with other molecules are too frequent. By about 30 to 35 km in altitude, about 2 out of every 100,000 CO2 molecules will have a chance to re-emit. (See: radiative lifetime) Overall, only about 5% of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is involved in the radiative process. In the upper atmosphere, simple decay starts to take over as the primary mechanism for emission and this emission results in the coldest region of the atmosphere called the mesosphere. None of this radiation reaches back to the surface.
