There's two words that describes NET ZERO in a nutshell. INCOMPETENT INEFFICIENCY!
The Climate Change bull should have been stopped years ago. The Earth's climate has always been changing.
Fossils (which believe it of not is what constitutes Fossil Fuels) have been sucking CO2 out of our atmosphere for billions of years and it is time we put some of that CO2 back. We actually need more CO2 (plant food) as the Earth was nearing the point where plants would struggled to survive due to a lack of this precious gas. The planet is now 15% greener than it was 50 years ago because there is now more plant food around because of CO2 emissions.
Stop the solar, wind and electric car lunacy and let's start appreciating all the benefits that fossil fuels have given us.
Net Zero is a "legally-binding target" that can be changed tomorrow should the Government choose to do so.

CO2 is not an enemy. To say that today, either one is called an extremist or a denier. Yet the fact are plain. It's been increasing in the Earth's atmosphere for several hundred years, and was already climbing before there was any extraction of fuels from the ground in significant tonnages at the start of the industrial revolution and mass transport systems by ship and rail. (pre circa 1800, CO2 'dry fraction' was around 280 parts per million (ppm) according to NASA and other authorities. Today, CO2 is at about 420 ppm and is climbing a little each year, although there are seasonal fluctuations due to uptake by plants and natural variation of the lengths of growing seasons around the world, sea temperature fluctuation/range also affects it. What really is an enemy is the 'mind-virus' that appears to cause intelligent people not be able or willing to think for themselves, and be discerning about what paid experts in their field tell us: We should bear in mind that much of these people's work is directly dependent on international policies against (supposedly) climate change. What is also an enemy of people is the willingness of various players, including governments, to over-simplify (dumb-down) the message to the most impressionable and least resilient, least critical people in society, our children.
At this point, we have to recognise the importance of a free press, and freedom within the electronic media, because without it, people cannot be heard in these various debating chambers. Thank you GBNews for sticking out your necks and saying that the nett zero approach will weaken the country of Great Britain, and make people colder and poorer. Even IF (and it is only an "if") faulty models full of unscientific guesswork about the future are right – they have been spectacularly wrong so far – the 'problem' has no final answer, since the developing world will continue to gain from use of fossil fuels, meantime. China and India alone produce about 40%+ of total world CO2, and China is not stopping building of new coal fired power stations. The UK's minuscule 1% of emissions, if reduced to "nett zero" carbon, will signify little on the great accounting scheme of things. Please stand up if you have a genuine interest?

This country will be the only one in the world to "Achieve" Net Zero. Impoverished, starving, freezing weaklings living by candle light. But this isnt abouit net zero. I think it is about punishment. Thats why the only government we are allowed to have doesnt represent this country. Its a punisher government ( the powers are still smarting over the people not voting to stay in the EU – even though they have killed Brexit too) . George Osbourne told us we would be punished. Now you see it.
From my point of view though – I know all those who voted remain will also be punished by the same measures, as will the eco loonies. They are not going to be let out of gaol. I suspect, if they are also the jab takers, they will be on their last legs sooner than I will too. There is always a silver lining under the storm cloud.
