The Australian’s Environment Editor Graham Lloyd says the National Farmers Federation is no longer happy to walk along with the Albanese government’s net zero approach.
According to Mr Lloyd the NFF and mining lobby groups are now pushing back against the Labor’s green agenda.
“Suddenly they’ve lifted their head and discovered that they’ve really lost touch with their membership,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“Live sheep exports being banned, there’s all sorts of other issues with industrial relations, the net zero transition with transmission lines and other things.
“Their members are unhappy and the NFF has decided well it’s going to go in and fight for them.”

How stupid are Australians supposed to be? Our domestic gas bill has been way cheaper than our electric bill, for more than 20 years, so how is that going to save us anything? It clearly will not. Who will get to pay the bills for ripping out existing gas infrastructure? Let me guess, the hapless tax payer of course. Then, in 10 or 20 years time, when hydrogen becomes the new cheap wonder fuel, we will get to put the gas pipelines back in place again. We already have trials for hydrogen distribution up and running in Australia, similar to other locations in Europe. Its works very well. What short sighted bureaucratic loons think its a great investment, to spend billions of dollars, to rip out billions of dollars worth of gas pipes, just to appease their incompetent short sighted fantasies. Surely the carbon emissions alone, for ripping out the pipelines, would make it a self defeating proposition. As usual, no planning, no costings, no strategy just a lot of noisy political hot air from uninformed rowdies..
The live exports ban will cost 5000 WA jobs, and 15000 indirect jobs, there's supposed to be a La Nina this year, which means that there will be limited rains for pastoralist in WA, that leaves millions of starving sheep in the paddocks, unless Murray Watt wants to hand feed them,
