  1. The important point Mr JRM is that a schoolboy from 60 years ago would have been amazed at the performance of a Lithium battery but could still have told the world that the variations on Net zero are an impractical dream. He would also have needed better evidence to prove a need for it. We are living in a playground environment at present. I spent over 40 years being briefed by met forecasters and never met one remotely like Jim Dale. He looks and sounds lke an actor promoting some other party's image and his own wallet. In 1903 the world knew man could not achieve powered flight but had hope. 60 years later they knew man would not land on the moon but still did not stop hoping. Now a world full of undisciplined and scientifically ignorant loud voices expect what has not been done before to happen over night. They have to have experience to eliminate the impractical. If Einstein and associates had required such experience instead of calculating the existence of nuclear energy then we would still not have it. It is perhaps ironic that , unlke flying, the clear technical advances of the Integrated Circuit gave no early forecast of their previously not considered massive impact on everyday life. Even the early manufacturers of personal computers saw a very small market for them. I suppose such a development is some justification for not wishing to understand how when demanding a miracle.

  2. We cannot even get 48 hour weather forecast correct… yet we are meant to believe that not only the scientists figures from the past are correct but also in the future…. and this is as a direct cause of humanity…. And how and where do these so called climate scientists and researches get funding from… As always FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Didnt Romans… and the Scots walk around in skirts and Iceland have lots of vegetation when the Vikings invaded… were these civilisations powered by ice cars and oil powered systems…. why was it so hot then ?

  3. If we have learned anything over the handling of the pandemic it's that the science must be questioned and hypothesise proven by reference to real world observation. Likewise the climate crisis issue. It's not good enough or scientific to state that the science is settled and any reference to consensus is completely meaningless. Net zero is being inflicted on us allegedly to fix a climate emergency, one that doesn't exist.
What is obvious is that the climate industry pays well, if you're part of it.

  4. Not sure that the weather man can predict the weather more than a few weeks ahead….I predict we will be plunged into a deep depression of poverty….If we listen to zealots like him.

  5. I cannot believe they bring this guy on. He doesn’t even attempt to have a debate, straight away to Rees-Moggs personal biases and not confronting the real argument at all. No facts, just wishful thinking and hot air.

  6. The Elephant in the room is; that no one has produced or published any evidence that co2 causes climate change or warming. Because there isn't any, man made climate change is a scam and a hoax. (96% of co2 emissions comes from the earth itself, less than 3% comes from human activity, so how does cutting human produced co2 make the slightest difference. This is all about making money and imposing control over us.

  7. Well said Jacob………. If you had of been PM years ago with your head for reason and facts instead of the succession of unelected usurpers that have been forced upon us… we wouldn't be in the state we are in……

  8. Thr majority of the public know that net zero can't be achieved , but the mps see it as another reason to add tax on everyone. Well they've got to find the money for their inflation busting pay rises

  9. A dysfunctional energy cartel that charges uk consumers the highest tariffs on the planet whilst the BrexitClown Tory Govt gifts that cartel tens of billions is absolutely mental isn’t it folks.
What we ought to do is ‘take back control’ like Brexit promised……isn’t it?

  10. Making energy use more efficient is a more realistic goal than net zero. An energy efficient society may be achievable – but not a net zero society. China and other developing countries seem to have no interest in a net zero society, with China building new coal fired plants every single week, even if they are also investing in renewable energy, which has its own problems of being not reliable enough. Desirable as it is, it is doubtful renewables can supply more than a fraction of energy demand, and even if it ever did, it will not be for a very long time. I do hope I am wrong but I fear I am not.
