GB News host Darren Grimes has reacted to author Peter Hitchens delivering a reality check to the BBC over Britain’s net-zero targets.
Mr Hitchins told BBC audience members that if they “wanted to live in a country where nobody can afford to heat their house,” and one where “lots of people lose their jobs, and be cold all the time”, they should keep pursuing net zero by 2050.
“Once again, we in this country have gone far further than the sensible Australians have, Mr Grimes told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi in response.
“The government right now just had to admit it’s made a mistake in banging the drum against gas power stations.
“Because we are now having to build more… and we are all saying, ‘you thick wazzocks, of course, we knew this would happen.’”

The UK is in its death throes. It has fallen victim to mass immigration smothering the established culture. That led to the political class seeing the defence of the established culture as racist. That made being PC or woke the mainstream political position. From then it was a rapid decline as spineless politicans bent to every tiny minority at the expense of the majority. The UK is now a country that has no sense of pride or belonging, filled with people either entirely in it for themselves or people battling to survive what the other mob are doing to the country.
Here in the UK, we have a net zero religion, it is a cult, and there is nothing sensible about the way we are going. I moved out of the system onto a narrowboat to escape some of the nonsense. If you were self-harming yourself in this way the men in white coats would come along and lock you up. but a government controlled by the elite thinks it is wonderful.

Im amazed at the governments and their hysterical approach to climate change. Yes we need to change, but as sensible, sane, (non woke liberal) people are saying, lets have a plan that actually leaves the West with some economies, and some food and jobs, and even people as they will starve if the EU has its way. We need to take a BIG step back and do some real science around this and come up with something feasible. The average Joe has been let down by decades of politicians ignoring the issue and not taking what may have been far less drastic steps if they had begun 30 years ago. No they listen to every mad person like Greta Thunberg and panic. Think people, take some time to stop screaming and running in circles catastrophising and THINK so that the outcome is something realistic.

Politicians and their hangers on can jet all over the world to “ important “ events whilst the rest of us save up to pay ever increasing energy bills as each power station gets closed down and we endure another “ hottest day ever “. Try living in Alberta Canada with Justin Trudeau forcing us to go to net zero, this past month we went to -50C and our power grid was in danger of failing on numerous days and nights, we had these temperatures for almost two weeks, if the grid had failed hundreds of thousands would have died from the cold. Mind you Trudeau would have celebrated because he hates Alberta and Albertan’s with a passion, we return that hatred tenfold!
