What could our future world look like if we continue to do nothing about climate change? Take a look at the possibilities.
—
While we’re already feeling the devastating effects of human-caused climate change, governments continue to fall short on making and executing emissions pledges that would help thwart further warming. So, what will our world look like in the next 30 to 80 years, if we continue on the current path? Shannon Odell offers a glimpse at Earth’s possible future.

This seems to presume that social cohesion remains intact over the next 30 years. With the wars that are going on now? Give me a break.
In which I argue our relationship to Nature should neither be fast nor furious:

There's no 'could,' this is the future. While for a couple of decades everyone has said "the time to act is now!," in the meantime the time to act has passed. Even the right wing does not actually disbelieve in global warming and has not done so for many years…they simply believe someone else can be forced to bear the cost.
Don't bother using words like "could", the world hasn't learned a thing and won't turn around until it's too late, what you're describing is a certainty and it's coming well before 2050.
We are literally doing less than nothing, all the things done for renewable energy combined are exceeded by the economic growth of the industry in the world, or in other words, despite all the solar panels, all the wind turbines and everything else, the world is still building more new cole and gas fired power plants.
The worlds largest emissions of CO2 come from the military, to an extent that if all other emissions were completely stopped the emissions from the military alone would still be too much, but nobody ever heard of any plans anywhere in the world to abolish the military, just the opposite, near worldwide every year countries spend more money for their military than the year before.
We're in fact speeding up the process faster than predictions can be updated.
What a horrible misrepresentation of the science…. climate fear does sell though….
Good
Nah, the rich would be mad
Who remembers reading their “Weekly Readers” (newspaper for elementary students) in the late 60’s and they were trying to scare us with cartoons portraying how life would be for us after acid rain and the ozone hole had overtaken the earth. Images of children playing outside in spacesuits, ala NASA, complete with helmets and the life support backpack.
There's a great documentary which refutes that climate change is man made. It's called climate: the movie (the real truth). It's eye opening. A must watch.
UM… The ice age is over, people.
it's the SUN not fossil fuels.
If you truly want to solve global warming then attack it at its source. Whitch is concrete and asphalt. These materials needs to be banned and cities and parking lots needs to be ripped up. Cuz until people quit using these materials the world will get hotter and hotter. Plus water tables will dry up cuz the water.is pushed to rivers whitch runs to the ocean's instead of soaking into the ground like it should. Stopping people from driving will only postpone global warming until the world.is covered in these materials then people will cook if they don't die from lack of oxygen first. Yes is a hard road to go down getting rid of concrete and asphalt because everyone loves it but its the true reason there's a global warming.
Don't worry be happy most of us won't be here anyway
I'm so scared 😮. Don't worry though because lots of money will fix the problem.
How can we control to global warming ?
1.Stop to drive in personal car 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗 ❎
🛴🛴🚲🚲🚎🚎🚍🚊🚉✅
2.Plant lots of trees🌳🌳🌳🌳 in your area like your home ,street ,road, school, college , temple , mosque
3.use solar panel for electricity
4.Stop to eat nonveg because this is also biggest reason for climate change. You can check on Google about it.
5. Stop population ❎❎
Reduce population ✅✅
Because Co2 emission due to
1-human🧍 =60,000kg.
And Co2 absorption by
1-Big tree 🌲=20 – 30 kg in one year
6. Spread awareness about climate change everywhere.
7. Overcoming vehicles and industrial sector.
8. Raise your voice against the government for climate change so that they should also take big action for this.
9. Save trees and nature 🌳🌳
Meat is a huge contribution to this…. But people dont wanna cut down nor eat a veggie burger because they hate change. Well, it will literally kill us
I will be 44 years old in 2050
The reason why clinate change is happening is because of the LGBT whatever community this is gods doing as long as lgbt are around no one is safe
Main reason
1. Population
2. Meat industry
3. Fossil fuels and plastic.
6th mass extinction already started. 💥💥
What happens if we do nothing??This is the most worthiest question…you know the total imbalanced nature like floods, hurricanes, earth quakes, landslides, hailstorms, droughts, rising temperatures etc…all these natural disasters would happens all around the world at the same time… nearly end of our planet…maybe our human race…So if we love nature like planting trees, preventing cutting trees, not emitting CO2,reducing or recycling inorder to reduce global warming etc…lots of best activities still we can do..Nature will nourishes it's at most beauty… sustained, well balanced, eco friendly environment… remember one thing, nature doesn't belongs to us… we belongs to nature…This is a dream of every single person who likes to enjoy peaceful and happiness…the person who is achieving their goals along with sustainability…Now a days , people around the world is afraid of the rain, sun, air, food etc because of sudden climate changes…you know it wasn't as it was in the past generations…I will be one of the person who is gonna die who is witnessing all these disasters.. helpless.. to bring hope to the next generations.. bcoz it's still a dream……..
