Methane from agriculture, the wholesale disregard of the toxic emissions of the plastics industry and the destruction of old growth forests worldwide are equally to blame for climate change. It continually astounds me that no politician or religious organization will acknowledge the overwhelming cause of all this destruction is the over population of humans on the planet. Each child born uses at least a million dollars worth of product in their lifetime. If we do not start limiting the number of children born to no more than two per family, which would stall our population growth, then nature will do it for us and there will be wide spread desertification and unliveable temperature rises worldwide. Already there is mass population movement toward the cooler northern countries and it will only get worse. The next twenty years or so will see endless flooding as the worlds glaciers melt away, then drought will take over resulting in a massive die-off of not only humans but animals, birds, insects. Everything will be negatively affected and it will be our own fault. Children will unfortunately become the enemy, just as you see it happening now. The Israeli’s are actively targeting women and children as they have outright said ‘they have too many children’.

I understand that we must cut back on all fossil fuels. In fact we have to not use any as of today. But it won't happen. There will not be even incremental decreases in any fossil fuel use. LIKE NONE! No one in positions of power to change things is listening. They are completely deaf to what is said here and any other warning. And it's because profits are being made easily. The oil companies would rather see all of humanity get snuffed out than any reduction in profits. So anyone with concerns is a fanatic, an irrational undereducated POS. I knew we were headed this way in the 1980's. I predicted in 2022 that we would be close to 1.5C if not reach it by the end of '23 and we did. Thawing of the permafrost, no discernable slowdown of petroleum and the world at war with fascism on the rise. I think we will hit 1.51 or 1.52C globally by the end of '24 with the rise of temperature accelerating every year. Face it, we're doomed. We can't even stop discriminating against each other for what is basically superficial nonsense. For about the last 50 years I've heard the same bs about the environment, pollution, loss of habitat and species, that this is an existential crisis but we're so self centred and selfish we couldn't be bothered. At least we'll hold the record for the shortest epoch 👍 Lets hope the next era the creatures stay dumb and basic, and don't get clever like us
First off read a book by the late great Michael Crichton called..'A State of Fear'!! This should be a must read for everyone it is a fictionalized and excellent narrative on the whole idea of climate warming! He backs it up with all sorts of factual data which can be referenced in the back of the book! The reason so few people are accepting the global warming scenario is that that is happening in selective areas, most notably high ly inhabited areas! Read the book!!!
