The headlines say we’ve trashed the land, air, rivers, and seas — and then there’s climate change. In the face of all of this, how could anyone want to have kids?

Thanks for the informational short.. good summary. One of my kids dealt with climate panic for years, it was only after the fact that we realized it likely came from the elementary school down the street. The media is definitely beating the drum of climate catastrophe with warmer weather when it hits. Honestly it can be hard to refute when you see all the trash, the fires, pollution, etc. So here's an idea, I would love to see an episode where you have 3-6 young people who are climate alarmists sit down and watch this exact video, and them film the conversation afterwards.. I would love to hear how they react. My guess is they will push back.. I want to see what it takes to put a dent in this belief system.
With AGI and possibly Super AI just around the corner, how can anybody take predictions more than five years out seriously?

– In middle & high school I was told that science had "proven" we were in a period of global cooling and moving toward a new ice age.
– In my twenties I was told the Amazon rain forest would be completely gone in the next 20 years
– In my 30's I was told bananas were about to be no longer in existence
– In my 40's I was told that polar bears were almost extinct and it was inevitable in the next few years
– In my 50's I am being told that the world will end in the next 12 years (only 6 years left since that prediction).
Can anyone imagine why I might have a bit of well-founded skepticism toward the "climate catastrophe" claims? I don't deny science. I actively look for evidence for the claims on either side of a debate. But the climate fear-mongers have done themselves a disservice by exaggerating wildly to try and get attention for their beliefs (religion?).

The world, the solar system and the universe are NOT linear systems. That's one the first lies. These systems are non-linear complex systems. Our best science is now showing that we have a lot to learn and predicting these systems is not the right approach. The number of major storms and such is another lie. That resources can't renew is another lie. CO2 is not linear in affect on temperature it's logarithmic and has smaller effect as it increases. H2O is 100 times more powerful in capturing heat compared to CO2. Humans have lived and thrived in hotter climates than we have now. Living systems are adaptable and very resilient. Be careful what you believe based on "experts." They are using predictions based on climate models. Every one of those models has been wrong and wrong by a lot. The WEF and crew continues to push the lie of over population. The people pushing these lies are sociopaths.

I live in Arizona, was born here but move all over the US before coming back here in 2014. It is a desert here, it’s hot, and it’s always been hot since I was born, and well before I was born. Only until recently has everyone here started to see headlines “Arizona sets records!” “Most days over 100 degrees”
It’s a freaking desert, I can pull up historical climate data of summers going back to 1900. Guess what!? July/August in the Arizona desert is hot! lol who would have guessed

Imagine humans have never known of Earth, but only of a life aboard a space ship (a technologically 'glorious', Star Trek-like space ship). Imagine we've never even heard stories of this 'Earth': we do not have a clue about the idea of such a world.
So, we have never known of caterpillars; of a luminous open blue sky; of clouds and streams and lakes and oceans; of horses and ducks and eagles; of dirt and flowers; of trees and forested hills and grass; of what it is to lay in cool green grass on a warm day; of seeing the stars at night from that same grass.
Then, one day, someone tells us of such a world. Would we believe him? He claims that such a world exists. Would we find this idea pure fantasy?
Then, one day, we find that our spaceship is automatically landing on just such a world, and ourselves stepping out onto that world.
Stars are great, even from the window inside the ship. But this Earth is so much more wonderful than all the stars.
Just more de pop. War, disease, and dis-ease. Why would young men and women even want to have sex now? I think it would be perfectly normal to just avoid it. First they make sex seem horrible by introducing it to children on the internet at too young of an age. It warps them. They see it as it's presented; inhuman. They internalize all of this at a very young age, some blue haired weird woman starts an inappropriate conversation with him. Best case scenario; he politely informs her that that would be an inappropriate conversation. She says that he can trust her, or whatever, it goes on for a while and he's still pushing back and finally she says something like …"Maybe your just asexual. You can talk to me whenever you feel like". Now, he's gotten permission to abstain from normal life, the one that he mistakenly thinks is actually inhuman. One less fully realized human being. Emotionally castrated. These people know these conversations are destructive. Once that's in place global warming becomes a pacifier. "I'm not having sex for a reason, I'm not having kids for a reason, I'm destroying the planet"
It's really sick.
