  1. Follow the money – By 2060 if not sooner world fossil fuels will be exhausted and run out. So even if we do nothing the situation will remedy itself. Our electricity network can't support masses of new towns being built to house our massive population growth, never mind the strain electric vehicles put on. Net zero reeks of the wool being pulled over our eyes and someone making lots of money.

  2. jin no clue dale never looked at the Green land ice cores , the climate has been changing since the start of the planet formed and the planet has never been greener

  3. A better policy would be to levy 1% of energy companies revenue yearly to go into a british energy company to fund renewable generation & fussion R&D.

  4. Why the rush for net zero
Which will put the bills up on the average person
For millions of years the temperatures fluctuated all the around the planet
Now that is a known fact
That not to say humans have not sped it with pollution
As for the north sea storage closure was signed off by liz truss if i remember rightly

  5. Jim explains their strategy in first minute; get ppl talking about it, and then they can persuade the dim with fake stats and as long as over half agree they push forward. They dont care whether you are for or against the idea of man made climate change, the point of flooding the airwaves about this subject is to build consensus.

  6. We can't afford it!!!

We are hard working citizens we can just about pay for things let alone go on holiday anymore

    Robbing us in daylight.

My bill now with octopus is £56

    EDF wanted £455 so stressful
Trapped me by saying I owed the last company nearly £2000

    What the hell

  7. Yet another GBN fail.

Where are the people who don't support NetZero im this debate?

Where is Micheal Kelly? Where is Ross Clark? Where is Bjorn Lomberg or Micheal Schellernberger?

  8. Only 17% of energy usage in the UK is electricity. That means to go NetZero we would need six times the current generating capacity (which is falling because they are shutting down coal fired power stations).
A minimum of six times the distribution capacity (six times the aluminium and copper currently in use – according to the BBC renewables require 7 times the copper than traditional generating methods). We will need, globally more copper in the next ten years than we have ever mined. The same is true of Lithium.

Energy crisis is due to Net Zero not the Ukraine war.

A large portion of supposed renewables comes from Drax B, fired by waste and wood pellets shipped from North America. This power station is dirty than coal.

The average UK home has a 60A incomer. To replace gas with electricity, most homes will need to be upgraded. Estimates put this cost at between £70k and £100k per household.

Who is going to pay for this?

I have just gone through the second winter where I couldn't put the heating on.

  9. The UKs used emissions have NOT fallen.

In fact the emissions we are responsible for have increased. We have exported the manufacture of goods to countries whose power generation is NOT as clean as ours. We also have the added emissions of transport.

Next to be exported will be our food production as they take all the rarm land to build wind/solar farms. But by then we won't have am economy and wont have anyoney to buy food from abroad.
