  1. Funny how many comments are the rich are stupid to build there. I see it, those houses are the first to go… but the erosion is moving towards the lesser valued homes. Everyone thinks sea level rise will take decades, but storms prove they may take months.

  2. 2:44: does anyone see an issue here? A lawyer seeking to help multimillionaires on Nantucket reduce their property taxes, because the market value of homes on eroding land is dropping… even as the municipality is investing millions to help save those houses? It’s preposterous

  3. They were saying all the same stuff many decades ago, total destruction… crickets….

Do you really think the climate and the weather patterns are ever going to constantly stay the same?

    Never have, never will.

  4. Shore construction needs to be built for severe storms and eroding shore currents. Sea levels have been stable for many years. This video contains the UN Climate Change disclaimer. Global warming was officially stated at 1.1°C in 1991 and 1.06°C in 2022. There is no mechanism that would allow greenhouse gas behavior to cause global warming. The back of the United Nation's IPCC science report states it took its greenhouse gas samples at 20,000 meters altitude where it is common high school level knowledge there is no greenhouse radiant energy. This is typical practice for deceptive marketing to state legal data transparency protecting the perpetrators from fraud prosecution.

Earth's greenhouse effect is frequently used as a primary example to high school students of a system always in saturation from the strong greenhouse gas water vapor absorbing all the greenhouse radiant energy from the earth with greenhouse gases within 20 meters of the surface that is all around us everyday and can't have its overall effect changed. There is no further greenhouse radiant energy to interact with greenhouse gases. At 1% average tropospheric water vapor over 99% of earth’s greenhouse effect is from water vapor. Water vapor would hold earth's greenhouse effect in saturation if it were the only greenhouse gas in the atmosphere.

Arctic warming is taking place with the proving mechanism being warm Atlantic Ocean waters migrating deeper and more frequently into the Arctic Ocean warming it and the region. That warmer water is causing a few weeks less of reflective snow and ice coverage resulting in more solar heat gain to the Arctic region surface.

Atmospheric CO2 levels of 1200 ppm about three times what they are today would greatly invigorate C3 plants the majority of plant life on earth greatly greening the planet.

0.4% of the atmosphere is CO2 and on average 1% is H20 water vapor. (1% H20)/(0.4% CO2) = 25. Water vapor is 25 times more present in the atmosphere on average than CO2. Water vapor has an CO2e of 18, 18 X 25 = 450 CO2e total for water vapor to 1 CO2e for CO2.

The Earth’s oceans have 3-1/2 million sea floor volcanic vents warming the water and changing it’s chemistry that have not been systematically accounted for.

  5. Completely predictable. In fact, it was predicted 25 years ago or more, in climate change outlooks. No one wanted to look at it then. And no one really wants to look at it now.

$800K for a house that's falling into the ocean? And a realtor says that's cheap because it used to sell for millions? It's worth the risk? Of dying? Its value is $0. It's only the valuation that's changing and has yet to catch up. And the owners are left holding the bag. The bag they bought into, without looking. Live and learn, and live with it, people.

  6. Well well well, looks like these are the BOOMER PROBLEMS that BOOMERS IGNORED!!! Awww, are they losing value now??? So sad that their GREED, IGNORANCE, AND SELFISHNESS had finally caught up with them!!!

  7. All a HOAX…Reports that started in earnest 30 yrs ago although many of us were attending global climate conferences in 70s, we're "a hoax ". Can you believe climate sciencetists are now sayying sea are rising even faster. Ice sheets melting at a more rapid rate. The nerve of those professionals.

  8. News personalities are public figures, and should know what words mean. Please stop using the word literally unless you literally understand the definition of that word.

  9. Only a fool would buy any property located on a US east coast or west coast beach at this point, and this stuff is only going to get worse, not better. Heck, in Florida, even if you do not live on a beach you are likely unable to get a proper insurance policy on your home due to all the increasing hurricanes and hurricane damage down there and insurers refusal to insure for any sane price.

  10. Now if this story was covered on CNBC Squawk Box, it would be titled Bidens Green Deal causes house prices to fall. Because Squawk Box host are pro Trump.

  11. Did these homeowners think shore lines grow? Did they not see the waves crashing against the shore day in and day out? Did they think storms never come? Man made climate change BS.
