I respectfully disagree that more development is the answer to the global problems that are the result of rapid development. Likewise, more debt seems unwise. The countries you listed as having greater debt are teetering on the brink of monetary collapse because of it.

There is only climate change as a natural phenomenon. You are simply telling lies about the climate! You want to terminate farmers of their land and fishermen of their ships so that we stop eating meat and fish and start eating bugs. All the investments are going to be paid by we the people…the middle class income by rising taxes! If a company makes investments it's going to rise the price of it's products so everything becomes more expensive. So called "green energy" (which is not green at all)from windmills and solar panels is a lot more expensive then coal oil and gas. So products and energy will all become even more expensive. You want people to stay at home in controlled 15 minute cities. Will you stay at home too Mr Sachs??? I don't think so because you like to travel all over the world in fancy airplanes to give these kind of BS talks about WEF SDG. What about CO2, Mr Sachs?? Sustainable Development as currently exercised is a nonsense, particularly applied to the UK. If it involves further and further encroachment into farmland and countryside it will be fatal our society and we will end up a concreted urban nightmare. By stabilising population and only re-using those surfaces already desecrated by "development" can life remain bearable. Since my childhood vast tracts of Britain have been destroyed, with no benefits whatsoever to our population.

The biggest problem in the world is a corrupt US Supreme Court who have made everything for sale, a corrupt House of Representatives who are bought, a corrupt senate who are bought, and a corrupt president. Why do they put this horrible background on Jeffrey Sachs, somehow not at all suitable to his highly erudite, visionary talks?
I know it is all very complex but leave nobody behind is just a fairytale.
There is a percentage of people who just want to ride on the back of other peoples hard work.

Investment, how about investment in the actual future, as in hedging against climate change, via a 'CO2 coin' – backed by central banks, paying people in this coin for not not burning fossil fuels, for reducing their own footprint, for for sequestering CO2, or for… well, for making the future better… thus increasing their CO2 coins value (Idea, courtesy 'the ministry of the future', Kim Stanley Robinson)
